Not having one when you need it means you have no front brake. Always keep a few on hand and one in your bike tool kit.

I used 3 of these on my cross-check. One for a mini-linear pull brake conversion for the rear and then 2 for shifter cables on the brifters to clear a front rack bag. For the shifter cables I removed the plastic liners that had been pre greased and left the liner in the brake one. I would have like to have had the ferrule soldered on, but I put heat shrink over it and the cable housings to keep dirt out. The bend radius was all over the place and some of them were dented. But the pack had so many in it.... That didn't matter. Shipping was super fast and they literally arrived exactly when I was ready for them. (I hadn't planned on need them.. until I did!)

I'm always working on older mountain bikes. A lot of them come with cantilever brakes which aren't very efficient or sometimes the original noodles are damaged. Having a pack of these handy has made a breeze for several of my projects. No brand that I know of puts their names on these things so it's impossible to compare a SRAM or Shimano noodle to something else. These have worked out great for me thus far and I'm happy with the purchase.

They get the job done, they are perfectly good noodles for rebuilding V brakes. The only thing that I will add is that these do not come with the plastic liner on the inside that the more expensive ones used to come with to decrease friction. It isn't the biggest deal. In the end, they get the job done and I haven't had any problems with them.***I rely on people's reviews when making my own purchases on Amazon. This was a perfect replacement for the front brake of a Fuji mountain bike. We bought the bike used and did not want to spend a lot of money. Paired up with the right cable, this had the front brake working again in a few minutes. Easy to install and fit perfect.

I know nothing about bike brakes. I bought replacement handles and brake lines but had no idea I would even need new brake noodles. These brake noodles look better than what came on my bike. I didn't know I would need new brake noodles when I replaced the brake handles and cables on my 6 year old bike. I reused one set but bought a set of these for my second bike. These look sleek and shiny, even better than the ones I removed when I replace the brake lines. I will probably buy another set to replace the set I reused. Watch some YouTube videos and you will find out about things you need before you start this project.

They work but the quality of the liner is very low. Would not buy again.
