Cut the hole then pull wires through the hole connect to switch mount switch with float switch and easy peasy it's done.

Installing a new bilge pump I decided on a new switch and all new wiring. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. Everything worked as expected and will purchase another and replace the aging switch in my other sailboat also.

Does what it's supposed to do, it can be left on automatic, which is basically switch on, wired to a float switch or to an automatic bilge pump. Manual mode is direct power to turn on the pump on demand, but it is a momentary switch, so it has to be held down to pump, safety feature I'm assuming, but I prefer a solid "on" switch. This one is wired to my secondary pump, so no big deal anyhow, I just leave it on auto.The switch construction feels solid, all plastic except electronics of course. Panel mount style makes it easy to mount on any flat surface. The wiring isn't too difficult depending on how you want to run your system. Doesn't look as nice as some of the expensive ones, but you kinda get what you pay for. Good switch for the price, good quality product!

Better Boat Bilge Pump Switch' meet my expectations

I've been needing a proper Bilge Pump switch, and this one fits the bill. It seems solidly made and the switch has a nice feel. The "auto" position (up) clicks on and stays, while the "manual" position (down) is spring loaded and requires you to hold it to pump. Installing it is on my spring to-do list. While I like the construction of the switch, I have to dock it one point because the labels on the switch are faint - fine in bright sunlight, but they will be harder to see below decks on my sailboat.One quibble: while the company that is marketing this switch touts that they are an "American" company, the switch itself is made in China. There is a typo in the manual - "Fuel 15A" (rather than "Fuse") - and a bit of awkward wording that makes me suspect the manual was printed in China too. Also, to be clear, the switch has a 15A circuit breaker, not a fuse.
