Bolt holes aren’t the same width as factory and don’t line up with water pump holes. I included a comparison to the original housing. You can see the hole opening in the originally sticking out from this junk one. The opening on the inside of the housing is also too small to allow the thermostat to fit with the gasket. Don’t waste your money this thing is junk

Item was well made and the quality was fine. The kicker was that when I tried fitting the thermostat the machines ID of the housing was not large enough. Would have been nice to have a bit better QC inspection before shipping but it was inexpensive so I can see why there wasn’t. Ended up returning the item.

Purchased this because I have another housing (more expensive) that would not seal and would continually leak. This item arrived and uses a standard 5.3LS thermostat (that you can also buy from amazon for $6.00-$9.00.) Thermostat fits snug in the machined relief and bolt holes line up perfectly.Will buy again for my other swaps.
