Was unable to achieve a reading below 3.3:1 using a antenna analyzer. Tried to lengthen/shorten antenna with nothing less than 3.3

The 2 rods making up the antenna are not spring steel as usual but easy to bend ajnd done so by the amazon packers who bend the package to fit into a smaller box. Not normal steel you would find on most antennas. Recommend do not buy. Put it on your car and the wind bends it. Missing set screw for base and no sizes given for replacement. Very dissapointed.

Originally purchased as a spare. Worked better than antenna that came with the mobile radio. It is now my preferred antenna. I got a better match for antenna to cable to radio. Clearer signal.

I like the size of the antenna but it's SWR is not ok , no matter what I did to tune swr is over 1.5:1.

I was looking for a GMRS antenna. I tried this one and ended up replacing the bottom section of the antenna with 3MM 304stainless steel so I could tune it. The best SWR ON LOW POWER CHANNELS WAS 1.56. The best SWR ON high power (50W) was 2.26. I have about $250 of my time invested in fixing a $20 antenna that is, at best, a cheeseburger . . . Also, I Never could find any claimed GAIN.

SWR marginally in spec. I cut a length of 3mm stainless steel rod that was longer than the original bottom rod and managed to get adjustment down to 1.01:1 as a GMRS antenna.
