I've been using this die cutting/embossing machine for a couple of months now and I really like it. It cuts and embosses beautifully and the ability to adjust the tension on the rollers is a big plus. The sandwich you use is so simple since you are using knobs on the side of the machine to get the right pressure. Delivery was quick and setup was really easy. I have used it almost daily with no problems. I highly recommend.

I've been putting this machine through its paces for a few months now, and I've been very happy. It's successfully cut or embossed nearly all that I've thrown at it--dies, steel rule dies, and 2d & 3d embossing folders. There are a couple of dies and embossing folders that didn't do so well, but the vast majority have come out beautifully. This is my first embossing machine. I did a lot of homework before deciding on the Bira/Sunlit, and haven't regretted my choice. First, I'm glad I picked a manually-operated machine, because I like being able to feel the pressure of the sandwich going through the rollers--it helps me adjust the fit to my liking and maintain control. I also really like the second adjustment knob. I use that all the time. The adjustments aren't perfect. There are some in-between spots where I have to fiddle with the sandwich to get it right. But I far more commonly adjust the knobs than switch out plates to change the sandwich. Finally, I am glad that I went with the 9 inch machine. It gives me more options for what and how I can cut.I've seen the comments about how the Bira looks like a toy, but while it's compact, it's also hefty and sturdy. I liked it enough to order the 3 inch Bira machine as well. I figured using the small machine where I can will save on $$ for the larger cutting mats.I mostly work with paper and medium weight cardstock. I have not worked with chipboard, or with hot foil plates. I might give these a try in the future.

I have been researching which embossing machine to purchase for a while. I knew I wanted something with a larger opening to ensure versatility for my projects. This machine came and I love it. It is super easy to use and my first attempts came out great! It also does die cutting, but I don't expect I will use that feature very much, since I have a silhouette machine for that. I also like that this folds up for easy storage. I definitely recommend this one!

I have had to wait for years, to buy crafting equipment... I have to choose with care... THIS medium size press has worked wonderful for me (the video that they put out, really helped me choose, too)... compact, easy to put away, the adjustments work... the instruction book was excellent, and the the cautions, are listed well... the company dealt very nice with me, as well... it is versatile for embossing OR die cutting... very very nice!

I have been looking for a new die cutting / embossing machine. Upon taking this out of the box even my husband said it looks like a kids play toy. All plastic, not solid or heavy. Easy enough to attach (and un-attach!) the handle. the knobs turned easily enough. It cut my die cuts and embossed well. But! For $150 I want a better made machine. I want one that has a full metal Roller and components - not plastic that the gears will strip or the knobs not lock into place for what I want to accomplish. They don’t have many reviews, and certainly non that have had this machine for any length of time... reconsider! ALSO! I wrote the company an email asking for information on exactly what the machine is made of - they refuse to answer! Is that REALLY what you want? A company that makes a substandard machine and won’t answer your questions? As far as manual machines go, look at the Big Shot. If you want electric look at the Gemini or Vagabond 2. Personally I ordered the Vagabond 2. But spend your money where you’ll get a good machine that will last for a LONG time and not have to replace it sooner rather than later!

I just got the 9 inch Bira craft embossing and die cut machine and I LOVE it! It is so much more versatile than any machine I have used so far. I can do part of a card or all of the card, I can do the back and the front. This machine is wonderful and has opened up so many new ways to make my cards!! The machine stays in place and works perfect!Thank you

I love my 9" Bira craft cutting and embossing machine. Is very sturdy and gives me the flexibility to move it without having to close the folding flaps. I will be using it for making cards and scrapbooking projects. Love the extra feature to adjust the cutting pressure for thicker materials.
