My cats are slobs. My dog thinks she's a cat. To keep my dog from eating all the cat food I needed to move the cat feeding area upstairs. I was using aluminum sheet pans to set their food and water on, but they were too small, and the cats would leave wet food on the carpet or spill the water. Not anymore! This mat is massive. It can contain the electric cat food dispenser, water bowl and the wet food bowls at dinner time and still has enough room so that the cats don't drop food onto the carpet. This mat could be very useful in many situations; for multiple dogs, or as a place to put wet or dirty shoes, etc... I think it could also work well under a litter box to help contain stray litter sand. The plastic is thin but feels durable, it is easy to roll up for storage or move to another location. It is non-absorbent but cleaning by rinsing is easy, but I have been able to use a small hand broom and dustpan to collect crumbs. Is it beautiful? Nope, but it does what I need it to do and does it well and that's fine by me.

We have one dog especially who just hasn't figured out in his whole life how to drink water from his bowl and pretty much just puts his whole snoot in the water bowl and sloshes it around. We absolutely needed something to put underneath his water bowl! We had previously been using a towel to absorb the water but that just lets wetness sit on the floor still so we grabbed this mat and IT.IS.WONDERFUL! It's large enough to hold his food and water bowl and it catches ALL that water he sloshes around while drinking. It's SOP easy to clean and the lip on the sides holds the water is so it isn't getting all over my floors. There was a strong odor tot he mat when I first opened it but I washed it off and odor was gone and otherwise this mat has met or exceeded my expectations.

I have an English Bulldog and as you can imagine when he drinks water he makes a huge mess. He even has a drip and water catching bowl system but still gets water everywhere! This mat is absolutely huge and has more than enough room for play to allow his messes to be caught and not all over my floor!This mat is perfect for dogs like him or bigger dogs. The material is very durable and gripped right to my floor and will not move around.This is a must for those messy pups!

This mat is good for putting your pets food and water on it. It has a raised edge to hold any water or food spills. One nice thing about this mat, is the tiny raised nubs. It keeps animals from being able to push their water around and spilling it. It is easy to clean. This one says it's top rack dishwasher safe! I use these mats under my cats litter box. It keeps any litter they track out from spreading all over my floor. If anyone overshoots the litter box it catches it instead of the floor. Obviously, I don't put it in my dishwasher if it's been under a litter box, but they are really easy to clean with a squirt of cleaning solution and hosing it off. And they hold up!

I am the worst when it comes to sizes and anticipating how they will fit in the area. But in this case it is working to my benefit.This is much larger than i expected. I thought it would fit the cats food bowls only (they are MESSY eaters!) But it has plenty of space for them to eat on the mat, plus house the water fountain. One cat like to move the water out of the bowl with his paws before he will decide it is worthy of him to drink from, so this silicone mat is catching all the water and protecting the hardwood floors from damage.It's easy to clean up as all the spilled food and water rinses off easily in the sink.

My cats love to make a mess: getting dry food all over the floor; flinging canned food onto the floor; picking up pieces of canned food and putting it on the floor, then eating it from there; and then one likes to splash her paws in the drinking water, and also takes toys and dunks them in as well. My two cats are weirdos! This large mat, thanks to the raised edges and large 34x24 inch size, keeps the mess contained.For just $27.97 (as of review) I cannot recommend this mat enough.Positives:-Plenty large for 2 kitties to be standing within the matt and eating/drinking.-The edge is tall enough to contain their mess.-Made of good thickness silicone.-Super easy to clean. Since it's currently winter here, I dump the dry bits into the trash and just wash the mat in a bathtub with some Dawn dish soap. Simple.-Will lay flat after a few days (comes rolled up tightly for shipping)-Little 'nubbies' on the top keep plates and bowls in place, yet my cats don't seem at all bothered.Considerations:-It's large, as it states, at 34x24 inches. You need a lot of space to not have this get in the way.
