I bought this saw to make flush cuts. It works perfectly and is very easy to use. There are different numbers of teeth on each side, one side is intended for rough cuts and the other for fine cuts. Nice quality saw that is the right size to fit into tight spaces.

I am not a hard marker, but gave this a middling review for two reasons. One is there are 14000 dollar Japanese Ryobas, and that was in the 80s. So one has to be reasonable. In comparison to other cheap, even cheaper saws this one is very aggressive both in the attack angle, and the kerf it cuts. It is in the range of saws one might want to use on a wet 2x4. The larger kerf opening up against binding. There is a lot of construction grade lumber like this.Ryobii saws have two edges because one is designed for cutting across the grain, and the other is designed to cut with the grain. These cuts ideally use different teeth. The ripping edge does not have the "with the grain" teeth. It has larger crosscut teeth. Typically larger crosscut teeth would be at home on a longer blade.So as one can see there is a mishmash of ideas going on here. But it is still a saw that cuts wood, and for what it is, and what it costs, I'm satisfied. I will pick up this saw when I want a saw that does what this one does well. And that could be in activities a like construction, or green woodworking.

Poor quality control. The round plastic keeper that holds the blade in place cannot be turned by hand, you need a pliers. And it does not seat level to hold the blade in place. This is due to the center screw which is not perpendicular as you can see in 1st picture, it is slightly cockeyed. I think it will still work so I haven't returned it but poor quality is evident because it doesn't go together as it should. In the 2nd picture it is tightened to the max yet it only contacts the blade in one spot on left of picture.

Es una excelente herramienta de corte, principalmente madera. No es sin embargo un serrucho japones aunque se asemeje. De hecho, al abrir el empaque te das cuenta que es mucho mas robusta, pero menos precisa. Es una excelente ayuda para cuando requieres hacer un corte de madera, rapido y donde estes, y con cierta precision. Definitivamente mejor que un serrucho convencional, transportable mucho mas que una sierra electrica. Lo recomiendo al 100%, como la mayoria de las herramientas Dewalt.

Man, this thing has been through so many projects. Even with broken teeth, I made it through 5 4x6’s. I was able to get about 2 good years of use out of this blade before I realized that the teeth were worn pretty badly. Before that, I was able to put this through hours of precision cuts. I love this saw for what it was. The only reason this gets 4 stars, really, is that the replacement blades are non-existent. So consider this a throw away saw, I guess.
