Never found anything that really worked for the fruit flies, this does! And it's so much fun!

These are super fun while they last. They just stopped working after about 1.5 months for unknown reasons. They were kept inside when not in use and properly taken care of. The batteries were changed regularly. Sadly, they didn't last long. We gave wasps, mosquitos. and other flying insects hell while it lasted though. The electrical crackle and pop was strangely satisfying. :)

Electricity flows thru and my hand shook after. Quit after approximately an hour. So be careful.

This product worked great. Kills flies on contact with no mess to clean up.

California has been rampant with the smaller mosquitoes since a few years ago especially during the summer. Repellent sprays have been worthless and I have never liked spraying chemical over the skin. This has been so effective against mosquitoes that come through the garage where I do my work. Easily zaps the mosquitoes when you swing in the area where it's flying around (you'll hear a zap noise when you hit something).

This is one of those times where the review rating doesn't do it justice. I rate this 4* if YOU are trying to use it, but 5* if you enjoy watching someone else suffer trying to use it. Lemme explain.Flies are dumb. But they are also psychic. Prior to my purchase, 3-4 would constantly harass my facial area all day long, but at least they let me sleep. From the moment I put the AA batteries in, they knew that war was incoming. They only land on my bare feet now, if I'm at my computer and distracted and have been so for a while. And it's only 1 at a time, vs the 3-4 teammates.Because they are psychic, you will miss them 999,999 out of 1,000,000 swings. In fact, I've missed 100% of intentional swings, and have only hit TWO with an accidental back-hand, while looking for their next landing. Rafael Nadal would be proud, but it's not enough to get a wink from Serena Williams. Pitty. The uncontrollable, evil laugh that ensues when you finally get that ever-satisfying *pop* when you DO get them, is almost disturbing. ALMOST. Trust me, you've EARNED it! You have already said words you shouldn't, probably broke a few things (unless you're careful, like me), and have considered crying at least 4 times as you undoubtedly felt inferior to others during your battles' shortcomings. As long as you don't still giggle when they spark, after already getting them, you shouldn't need psychological help. If you do, like I did, this war has already traumatized you and you should consider seeking professional counseling.Sure, a $.99 old school smash-em-up fly swatter will work WAY faster, but who wants to party like it's 1965? It's 2022 baby, we want TECH in EVERYTHING! It's hip, it's fun, it's exciting... and it also has made me almost fall through a table, my dogs think I want to kill them and I never want to play Raquetball again, as I'm sure it will trigger me. If someone posts a video of their neighbor swinging something like this outside, blasting Eye of the Tiger, mind your business. This is MY home, and I will fight to the death for it!P.S. flies also can cloak. When sitting down, unable to fight, I can watch them fly from point of origin all the way to the next room when they're too small to see anymore. As soon as I pick this up, I can see them for about 2-6" at which point they disappear and I'm left with the misery of my failures, just like the rest of my life.
