I love this tiny light for blackouts and dark corners. Easy to hang, stand or carry and has easily variable light intensity. Uses 3 A3 batteries

this light gave me zero issues. i bought it for all the dark places i needed light while in iraq in 2024. it served me well its small and portable and gave enough light to make tasks better

Pros: seems durable, bright with adjustable brightness, water resistant, replaceable batteryCons: Heavy for just a light, no batteries included, more expensive than similar options.Batteries not included. It uses AAA batteries, or f you want a rechargeable battery plus the charger, that will be an extra $29.The weight is 107 grams with AAA batteries installed.I have a Flextail Tiny Pump X that has an included rechargeable battery, a pump, and a light, all weighing less than the Moji lantern, for about the same price.I can see how this would be a good light for mountaineering level of ruggedness. In my opinion, for the average camper, this is heaver and more expensive than necessary.

Fabulous lamp. Small, compact. Might will use either standard AAA rechargeable batteries (need three of these) or a specialist rechargeable battery. The lamp itself doesn’t have its own battery. This is an advantage as you can swap out batteries if/when batteries die. But does prevent changing via USB is that is important to you.There are a few different variations of these lamps. Some with coloured leds some with plain white. Good novelty feature but annoying in practice. Make sure you know which unit you are purchasing.Mine has plain white with brightness control and a flashing mode. An excellent feature is that the unit remembers the brightness setting last used which is great for bedside use as the lamp doesn’t come on full brightness first.Short press to turn on/off. Press Hold once on to flip to full brightness and continue to hold to change brightness. Also don’t have to go through the flashing mode to turn the lamp off which is also a plus.Excellent lamp. Very happy with this light.

These little lights are so well designed. They offer multiple levels of brightness, multiple ways to hang them overhead, or sit on a table. They are perfect for a tent, or illuminating a home during a blackout. Can't recommend them enough.

The posting shows there would be batteries included with the device. I bought six of them and returned them, because there were no batteries and no rechargeable option.

This review is for the most basic Moji lantern model, which has just one button and runs on 3 AAA batteries.The lanterns were purchased directly from Black Diamond to ensure that the desired model was received.It doesn't seem like a big deal that the unit doesn't come with batteries supplied. It seems preferable to start with a fresh set of batteries from a reputable manufacturer. Duracell Power Boost AAAs, which seem at least to be assembled in the U.S., with a good expiration date, were used for the test described below.* The packaging indicates 120 hours run time (5 days) at the lowest light setting. After 120 hours of continuous use, the test unit was still putting out pretty good light at the lowest setting. The test was discontinued at this point.* When compared side-by-side with another unit with fresh batteries, also on the lowest light setting, but only turned on momentarily, the light output did diminish over time, but even after 120 hours it still seemed to be (subjectively to the human eye) at about 50% of the light output right at the start with untapped batteries.* Even at the lowest light setting, the light output is not bad. It's not entirely clear whether it would be useful as task lighting, but it seems like it would be effective for basic safety lighting around the house in the event of a prolonged power outage (this reviewer's need).* Conveniently, the unit "remembers" its light-intensity setting if it is shut off. So if it is set to the lowest light setting using the continuous dimming feature, that's how it comes up when powered back on.The unit is very compact -- 2-1/2" in diameter and 1-1/2" height. It is also light -- 4 oz with batteries loaded.Swapping out old batteries for fresh batteries is very easy.
