The chalk bag and ball are not my favorite, but they work just fine.The harness on the other hand! I’m still pretty new to climbing but this harness is soooo much more comfortable than the gym rentals. I’ve had no pinching or bruising on my thighs like with the rentals with worn out padding. This thing is comfortable even after hours of climbing! The waist adjustment is a little funky to get tight but with practice gets easier and is still loads easier than gym harnesses. The legs are so much easier to adjust. Just a simple slide motion on the adjustment buckle and you are secure!The ATC belay device and twist locking carabiner are pretty standard and work exactly as intended. They are both sturdy and rated for climbing and aside from paint loss show no signs of wear after several uses. My climbing partner and I both climb and belay each other with no fear. The ATC feeds rope, removes slack and lowers smoothly.The chalk bag color is randomly selected and I received burnt orange which clashes pretty badly with my mint green harness but that’s not super important and since I already owned a chalk bag I just use it as a spare in case anyone needs to borrow one. The closure doesn’t seal up as well as my other chalk bag and the chalk ball isn’t the greatest. The chalk is super fine and mostly goes straight through the ball resulting in a lot of loose chalk building up in the bag really quickly.The overall value is really good, the only thing missing for indoor top rope and auto belay climbing is shoes!
