A must to have and dress adequately the strut towers BUT, you will need a special socket to remove the two bolt that should hold the plastic cover in place then add a small black washer and tight everything together. That should be the ideal setup. Again, these bolts are NOT the conventional sockets on my C8 Z51 2025 coupe, In my case I didn’t have such socket so I decided to drill the plastic cover wholes bigger to allow a snug fit against the strut brace. The pre-install double side tape inside the covers that comes with it is a joke.. Don’t rely on them at all. Fortunately I had some thicker double side ones and used it on the interior lip of the plastic cover and then snug/press fit the cover on the strut tower… perfect fit and solid in place, they won’t go anywhere..

It doesn't what it suppose to, after seeing reviews, before i install i stick some double sided tapes on metal part of vehicle where this plastic part will touch and screw it later, I don't hear any noise because it's not moving at all

The plastics of the product does seem to be of high quality (not cracking easily and thick) and the tape seems to be similar to VHB tape from 3M. A additional tape was in the box, just in case if needing to be reinstalled. Smooth underside while the top is slightly rough and good quality.I returned the item as the price for a plastic product that must be modified by customers is above what I would accept. Being what I thought the product was to only need to remove the tape and two bolts to seat the product but now need to mod it, it wasn't acceptable to me.Modifications needed-1. A hole must be drilled- the upper threads of the suspension interfere with the seating of the product.2. Elongation of the holes- to press the bolts thought the cover I would have to cut the part further and remove the aesthetic purpose of the cover.

This should help. 1. You NEED a TORX E-14 socket to remove the 2 bolts. Anything else will strip the heads. 2. The tape where they have it did nothing to hold it. I added a piece of the extra double sided tape on the inside curve opposite bolt holes (see pics). It doesn’t move at all. Put a cool C-8 decal on them.

Nice looking cover to hide the exposed shock mounts in the rear engine bay.Don't know why GM wouldn't include these on the car, but that is above my pay-grade.Easy to mount, glad it came with a roll of extra 3-M double sided mounting tape to add to what is already on the covers from the manufacturer, which just wasn't enough. It would still jiggle a little.A few extra strips and it is safe and secure, made the engine bay look a whole lot cleaner.Gladly recommended for fellow C8 Corvette enthusiasts!
