Looks like the picture, nice black, sturdy metal. The hinges are a little loose and I worry about them holding up. It came in a bubble envelope and had a little thin bubble wrap around it in the enevelope, but was dented in 3 places on the lid. Also, it took 5 weeks to arrive! It was cheap enough, but I wouldn't order again.

Clasp works well, good hinges too. Very nice smooth finish. It's a nice size, although I would like it just as well if it was bigger. But I love it!I'm one of those who likes to be organized, so I love metal/wood cases/boxes to securely store things in, the cases/boxes then become decoration themselves. Haven't decided what is going in this one just yet, but the perfect things present themselves I'm sure! LOL.You can use this versatile metal storage box for a wide variety of items. Would make a great gift for someone to put keepsakes in too!Comes very well packaged wrapped in bubble wrap, then secured in a plastic bag inside it's shipping bag and was delivered in perfect condition!Regular price $21.99 per the listing may be a bit high, but it's worth it as this is not a cheap thin metal that won't last or get damaged easily. The quality of the metal on this box is the first thing I noticed. It's heavy and solid. The hardware is just as nice. There's something very appealing about its rich, black color - maybe because I'm in the "get ready for Fall and Halloween" mode at this time. Its size is ample for so many different items. I want to use it as Fall Decor with something spooky inside, but Hubby may just slide in and steal it to house his own stuff that is too much to even name. I should have never shown it to him until the fake spiders were crawling out of it!If you are looking for a good way to store just about anything, I'd recommend this strong, metal container.

very reminiscent of toyo and the like, just without any branding whatsoever. you get what you see, a nice small black steel storage/tool/pen box. lid operates smoothly, the coating is even and smooth, absolutely love it!
