Unlike hockey or figure skates which usually require a "break-in" period to soften up and ultimately fit better after many uses, the Igniter XT allows the skater to have immediate comfort out of the box and get on the ice right away. It provides ample lateral support, forward flex and performance for all skill levels. Igniter XT W appeals to those familiar with the fit of an inline skate or ski boot who do not want a hockey or figure style skate. Padded velvet lining with Thinsulate, synthetic fur and padded footbeds keep the feet cushioned and warm. A great rec skate for all who simply like to ice skate. Most ice skates come with a "factory sharpened edge" for safety during the shipment of the skates. While the blades may seem sharp, it is always best to sharpen new ice skates before the first use to ensure optimal performance on the ice.

These skates are awesome. I got them in January and have been using them 3-4 times a week. When I got them, there was a clear label to sharpen them before use, which I did, and I had no trouble balancing on the ice. I did adjust them to my feet before going out. They are mostly comfortable. Mostly. I have flatter feet and there is a slight arch support in inside the skate which can make it uncomfortable. BUT I have figured out how to adjust them to make skating comfy and stable. I’m really happy with the value for what I paid for. I did half size up just in case and they fit perfectly.

I wanted something other than a figure skate. These are easy to put on. They are also easy to tighten around the ankles. It has been a while so I haven't skated much with them yet so this based on limited use.

I can’t stand paying full price for something that was clearly not brand new. When I received the stakes I could tell immediately that they were not brand new just by the packaging it was tore up and skates were worn.

I do love these skates, I WANT TO LOVE these skates. But they keep sending me the wrong size. There is NO OPTION TO SPECIFY SIZE in the order. Once AGAIN I have to return these skates. There is no option to contact vendor. I would give 7 stars if I could get the right size ASAP. Skating season is nearly over, ugh. I usually only review when I’m not happy with an order, however….LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Amazing quality (comes Un sharpened). When I ordered these for myself, I didn’t clue in that my son was already using this brand of skates to learn to skate and play hockey. He had barely a few times on the ice before we threw him into lessons and hockey. I am convinced that these skates enabled him to learn fast and keep up with other kids with a few years experience ahead of him. When I tried on the ones I ordered for myself I was in heaven! I ordered the wrong size bc all other skates are usually sized large so I went small for this orser. These are the ONLY skates I’ve found that are comfy like a pillow and true to size. I am hoping to exchange for one size bigger but even though they are a tad too snug I love them. Best skates ever! BTW I’m female normally size 9-9.5. Size 8 US was just a bit too snug to manage - go with your shoe size, it will fit like a glove, you will not be disappointed!

Super comfy and agile skates. They look super cool too and I love the clasp system with less laces to do up.
