Got this to toss into the range bag. Hopefully it’s something that will never have to be used, but literally a life saver if you didn’t have it.I added an extra tourniquet and a few rolls of bandages, tape. and a small shoulder sling bag to make it portable and accessible.

Bleeding out is the leading reason for death during trauma. Having appropriate bleeding control options is a must for first responders. As an RN, and emergency medicine educator, I believe in being prepared to do what you can in an emergency. Seconds can make the difference between life and death. No amount of quality compressions will keep you alive if there is no blood to move around your body. The "ABCs" of CPR were updated a while ago to CAB where C is circulation; This includes bleeding control. Stay safe, but be ready. The life you might save could be your own.

Let me say that I'm not a professional EMT/doctor/nurse I wanted to update my vehicle & carry IFAK kits that luckily I've never had to use in 20 years other than some band aides. I did a lot of research on IFAK's and the necessary/recommend supplies for 2022. First let me say this kit comes from China and it did take about 3-4 weeks to receive that's a negative, but worth the wait. Secondly yes the 2-tourniquets are not C.A.T however these are really well made, I purposely tried to break the Windlass Rod by hand and couldn't. The stitching looks very good no lose threads and the Velcro is strong/good quality. For the price I'm updating 2 kits by splitting the tourniquets, Israeli bandages & gauze bandages. I purchased another pair of scissors and 2 packs of quick clot & 2 NAR gauze dressings and still paid less than what I would have for just 1 of the kits containing a C.A.T. as a bonus it came with a nice subcompact pistol holder. For the money you can't beat this kit, very pleased.
