I really loved this when it arrived. It was blooming and so cute. It was a gift to self in July '24 for my birthday. It lasted about 2 months before turning mostly brown.Try as I may, try as I might, I couldn't get another bloom. It is now March '25. I've given up all hope.I live in Florida. You can't get things to STOP growing here. Except this thing.

I sent this to my mother since I like to give her flowers but she tends to forget to water them. However, it arrived earlier than planned and stayed in a hot mailbox for a couple of days while we were out of town. When my mother was able to remove it she said it was still alive and actually looked decent.

I got this for my mother-in-law last May (left picture) and was handed it back today (right picture). It has the obvious black mold growing on it and I saw two small bugs (maybe gnats) inside the jar. She says it has never been opened and she just saw the mold today. All the times I've visited her it was fine; it even bloomed again.I've been tasked with trying to salvage the plant. There was absolutely no resistance when removing the lid, so I believe the seal has failed.It's a lovely idea, but it didn't quite live up to the item's descriptions:"This Persian Violet is encased in a modern, high-quality glass jar with an air-tight cover to ensure no room for mold growth, bugs, and spills."

This is my third purchase from this vendor. Every product I received arrived healthy and beautiful. As you can see from the picture, there are several blooms and buds. The leaves are all green with no brown spots. I highly recommend this seller. Shipping was fast as well.
