The DigiCue BLUE is a small electronic coach with Bluetooth technology that fits inside of a custom rubber housing and attaches to the butt end of any pool, snooker or billiard cue. Simply slide the DigiCue BLUE onto the butt end of your cue, push the power button, and then play the game of your choice.
The DigiCue BLUE constantly monitors your stroke for inconsistencies and gives you immediate feedback by silently vibrating when it measures a flaw in your stroke. Additionally, it wirelessly sends statistics of each shot to the DigiCue app on your smartphone or mobile device.
The DigiCue BLUE measures: Jab strokes, Follow through smoothness / acceleration through the cue ball, Finish duration, Tip steering and direction, Straightness of your stroke, Backstroke pause duration and Time between shots. Each box contains one electronic DigiCue BLUE (battery included), one small rubber housing, one large rubber housing and a Quick-Start guide. The small rubber housing fits all snooker cues (with or without a chamfer) and very small diameter pool cues. The large rubber housing fits all other cues.

Being able to use this with the app has opened up a world of training for me. I was not allowed to have the app on my phone originally, so the DigiCue wasn't nearly as useful to me. Now it's very useful. When I turn finesse off, but leave everything else on, I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I execute a shot or a drill without getting the dreaded vibration. Or I can turn everything off except the one thing that I want to focus on. Very cool.

This is great. And, based on the multiple cue stroke parameters it measures it will work well for any of the cue sports; pool, billiards, or snooker. With three preset levels of measurement plus the ability to customize individual measurements it should help most players. In only a few days I not only am getting fewer error messages, I am pocketing a higher percent of my pool shots. I started with the intermediate level and quickly learned my pool stoke wasn't nearly as consistent as I thought. If you're serious about improving your game, you need one of these. Someone indicated it does not work on shots where you have to apply a lot of power. If you're playing well power shots should be a rare occurrence. I found that the more I improve the harder I can stroke and not get error indications. There's an old saying about sports equipment costs that, "You can't buy a game." But you can definitely buy tools that help you build one. This is one of them.

This item has some great features And works great for soft shots. If you try to hit the ball with power, it doesn’t read accurately. I really like the information it gives though.

If you are looking for a device that gives immediate feedback on your pool stroke, this is an amazing device. I have been a PBIA instructor for just over 10 years and would say this is the best device I have seen to improve the fundamentals required for true long term improvement in the game of pool. What I teach is how to have the ideal fundamentals. This device gives feedback on the degree of variation of the stroke and what portion of the delivery needs to be improved.The seller is also the engineer and interacts with customers through a popular billiard forum to communicate with customers and other pool enthusiasts. He is actively working to address issues that are communicated. What the device is detecting is not easy nor straightforward so there is some iterative improvements being made to the software to enhance the customers experience.This is better than your next pool gadget, and it will give negative feedback when deserved but if your goal is to be a better player - this will absolutely give you the information where to focus and track your progress.

It only captured about 50% of shots on my Android phone. I switched to my son's iPhone and it's basically the same. (The iPhone version of the app is much nicer, when it works.) The real problem, in my opinion, is that it caused me to focus on the wrong things. Read the book "The Pleasure of Small Motions" or "The Inner Game of Tennis" and you'll see what I'm talking about. My game got WAY better when I followed the principles in those books and stopped focusing on the minutia of my stroke. (If you think it's weird I'm recommending a tennis book to improve your pool game, read it and see for yourself.)
