These hose clamps work as you would expect. They are easy to put one and to close. It worked perfectly on the 7/16” hose I tested it on. It does slightly constrict the hose when open, but not so much that I could tell much of a difference. When closed, it completely shut off the flow.When transferring mead from one container to another, I always seem to make a big mess, even with using an auto syphon. Now I can use these clamps to completely shut off the flow and have less or, hopefully, no more spills.
