Good for home painting. My wife used it and it worked well. Color is vivid and easy to mix with other colors if needed. Not dry super fast, but dry overnight. Easy to paint with it.

As someone who loves painting and mixed media work, this heavy gel gloss is exactly what I needed. It adds great texture and thickness to acrylic paint and dries clear with a nice glossy finish. I’ve used it for palette knife work and layering, and it gives amazing body without affecting the color. It’s not sticky or hard to work with. You can also use it as a glue for collaging! The tube size is perfect for artists who want to experiment without committing to a huge container. Its smaller than I expected though

I've never added a gloss or gel to my paints before, though I love this brand, and thought to try this. It allows me to create varying textures to my acrylics, especially making water really come to life with a unique shine and depth to it. I hadn't achieved that look before. I'm super happy with it.

When I mixed the gel with acrylic paint, I noticed that it created a chunky or goopy texture. I had to mix it thoroughly to achieve a smooth consistency that was usable. The gel was colored and lightened the original color of my paint, which I didn't like at all. However, it did provide the glossy finish I wanted for my acrylics.Adding the gel also delayed the drying time, which I was initially unsure about. But as I used it with other products, I found that the extended drying time worked in my favor. It made the painting process resemble working with oil paint, allowing me to correct mistakes and layer colors more effectively. I’m not sure if I’ve explored the full potential of the product yet, but what I was able to accomplish with it was great.

I tested this product on an acrylic art piece I am doing. My first observation that when mixed with acrylic paint, I get a kind of chunky or goopy texture--it isn't entirely smooth without a significant amount of mixing. Also, because it is opaque when wet, it does lighten the tone of your paint. Of course, it does dry clear, but an altered tone can be tricky, when trying to achieve a specific color. If you are able to mix and test a specific color prior to adding this gel, you can be more certain of the end look. It does also provide a glossy finish, which I may want in some cases and not in others. It's a nice product to have on hand, but I probably would not seek it out once it is gone. I find there are other products that can extend paint drying time better.

Good product, this heavy gel gloss gives my acrylic paints a thick, buttery feel that’s really fun to work with. It boosts the color and adds a nice glossy finish, making everything pop a bit more. It also slows down drying time, which gives me more freedom to blend and layer. A great tool to have around if you like experimenting with texture and shine!!

This gel gloss is easy to apply and gives acrylic paint a nice vibrancy and permanency. I use it on painted objects like flower pots to make them water resistent and durable. So far it's working for that purpose plus makes the colors more vibrant and brilliant. I don't mind the longer drying time although I'm not inclined to change things once they're down. It's worth it for the adhesion and quality it gives.

This is for the Bluebird Heavy Gel Gloss - 3.4 Fl Oz / 100 ML - Transparent Acrylic Gel MediumI am using this for something a little different.. Miniature plastic models water effect.Works great... airbrush the various colors down, then apply the gel and shape how you want (can mix the colors in too)Slow drying time makes it nice to be able to really work with and get the effect you want...Once dry finish with a tad bit of white for white caps and it makes a nice water effect of dioramas, etc.
