I wanted to use this cart for rolls of fabrics including some heavy vinyl rolls. The price on this cart ($26) was better than others listed on Amazon. However, I agree with other reviewers that the design had a missing element. With only one metal grid to support items and a slippery bottom tray, it was impossible to keep rolls from sliding down and falling over and that's before I even tried rolling the cart around. I know the cart was intended for blueprint rolls but I noticed other reviews showed the same problems with blueprints. There are other carts sold like this one that do have a second metal grid closer to the bottom but you would pay $60-$100 for it. The suggestion from other reviewers to put a grippy liner on the bottom tray to keep rolls from slipping worked well. If you search in the shelf liner category, you'll find more color options for the grip liner types. A black liner blends in nicely. Even though I had to purchase a fix for this cart, it still ended up being much less expensive that the $60-$100 ones.

I got this because I had a pile of blueprints and they are a bulky pain to store. This is nice it's easily portable and stores the blueprints without them being over crowded or falling over. I have it tucked nicely next to a chair. Its just an inch too tall to fit under the conference table. The spaces are not big enough for huge blueprints but a standard house or addition is no problem. I print arch D for reference.

Got this for my architect husband to hold his rolls of plans and it works perfectly! When I opened it, I was afraid it would be too small, but it's the perfect size for architectural plans once it's all said and done. Depending on the plan roll size, you can probably even fit 2 rolls per square. For the non-architect, this would make a great wrapping paper holder. You could probably store 3 rolls per square! The whole thing is sturdy, and the wheels rolls smoothly and easily. One note, pay attention to how you install the bottom part. I did it upside down and the rolls on the sides kept slipping off. The lip needs to be facing up so that the rolls don't slide off the edge.

Setting this cart up was easy and no tools were needed. However, 2 bolts were missing from the bag, maybe they fell out of the bag or something but I did double-check the box and could find them. Luckily I had some extra bolts in my toolbox that were a little longer with the same width and thread so all is good now. I used the replacement bolts for the bottom shelf so they are not sticking out too much. Once everything is tightened and fully assembled, the cart is quite strong and sturdy, The mesh frame up top is not as strong as the solid base below but still sufficient to hold Blueprints or whatever. Just out of curiosity, I placed my mini desktop on the bottom shelf to see if it was strong enough to hold and it was, Come to think of it, I may use it as my desktop cart later on. The swivel wheels are nice and easy to roll but not quite as smooth as the larger wheels, still, they did what they were supposed to. Strong and sturdy cart overall.

Assembly was quick and easy. It's a pretty lightweight metal and feels a bit on the cheaper side but it does what it needs to. I actually used it to store my playmats, which are pretty heavy and it still holds them without issue. It should haven't any issues holding blueprints.I had accidentally assembled the bottom plate upside-down when I took the photo and have since corrected that. One think to mention is that the locking mechanism on the casters is a bit long. So it drags a little on the carpet and makes pushing it around a little harder if you have heavy items in there (like several board game playmats)

So not being an architect, and no longer working in a construction office? I looked at this rack/cart and thought "Hmmmm". And that was a correct one, as I desperately needed a storage organizer of some sort for my rolls of wallpaper, contact paper, and wall panels as these rolls? Well? They "roll" all over if not held someplace or in something suitable, noticed how many I have during this move, and as I do not want to get rid of any? I put this cart and my need for storage with multi rolls and BAM! Perfect idea/product collaboration!Only variable I changed to suit my needs more than blueprints require? I placed a lightweight plastic chicken coop (I think thats the best description but its not from an actual "coop"lol) styled wire, but not wire? Its a plastic, or final of some sort, doesn't matter as its not germane to the cart really as is? I just needed a way to keep some oddly sized rolls that did not match up to the open twelve (12) slots in length to hold securely. It holds ALL of the rolls now, and I couldn't be more pleased. Changed up my storage needs, and delighted with the entirety! The wheels secure by the locks, and it remains sturdy and non moving around for stationary purposes. Great cart/stand/storage product!
