This thing is a piece of trash. I tried using it and the reading were off so bad. The fluid is so minimal and escaped the tip. You need to be a researcher to understand and even when I asked my friend who literally is one that works in a lab, she was confused.

So many products on amazon are Chinese crap. They are not what is described. This product was different, it was exactly what was described in the description and it worked out of the box. Thanks.

This is a must have for the small manufacturer when you have to know what your pH levels are for canning.

I had trouble buying a certain recommended brand pH meter for testing skin care products and wasn't really sure of what I was actually looking for. I came across this meter during my research, delivery was great and also the meter perfect for my needs. It would be an added bonus if the calibrating solution was available to buy extra. Thank you from a happy customer.

Arrive on time. Easy to follow instructions. Everything needed to calibrate the meter. Easy to read display. This PH meter is constructed very well and works really well.

This is way more than I expected! This meter (YY-1030) has the “puncture electrode” configuration which means it is good for testing the pH of solid and semi-solid items such as meats, fruit, cheese, and soil. This is not for liquids or paper/cloth/skin. Those require a different electrode configuration. This does not come with any sort of case for storage, although the lid has a loop that can be used for a string, wire, or ring to hang it up. My packaging came with a plastic tray with a spot for the probe and another area for something else, but nothing was in it. (See picture)The meter can connect via Bluetooth to an APP that you can download to your phone to record and track your readings. The probe itself will store the last 1000 readings, but if you want a more permanent record, I recommend using the app. You can also just use the display if you don’t need to keep the data. The paperwork says that the standby time is around 50 days if the Bluetooth is on and 2 years if it is off. The unit uses 4 button cell batteries (LR44) that are in a compartment under the twist off lid. The lid is on VERY tight and has an O-ring to keep water and moisture out. I almost thought that it didn’t come off and I was going to break something when I first tried to open it. There are NO instructions on where to find the batteries and how to change them in the Instruction Manual included with the unit. The battery quantity and type are listed in the Spec chart, though, so I was able to figure it out.It comes already calibrated, but in case you’d need to recalibrate, it includes instructions on how to do so and powders to use to make the calibration solution. If you choose to calibrate this way, it is recommended that you mix the solution in a clean sealable glass jar that can be used the next time you need/want to calibrate it. The solutions come in both Asian and EU/US pH levels. The probe has a screw on plastic lid with a sponge cushion for the probe. The cover has a gasket to keep it from drying out. When it comes, it is already wet with a neutral storage solution. When you’re done using the probe, you need to wash it off with distilled water and put it back in the holder. There is a way to change the probe tip out for either a flat or bulb tip for other applications, but this unit only came with the puncture probe.I will be using this meter to test the pH in my garden as well as for canning as low pH foods need to be pressure canned instead of water bathed. I want to get the other probes as well.
