I just received the AC500 with B300K battery and P090D to P150D cable. I hooked it up, and it works, covering the situation that my AC200L didn't have quite the muscle to power. I also have an AC180 powering a server, and my intro unit to BlueTTI is the EB3A. All good units for different power level needs. The AC200L will be repurposed to my home office area, which will support 3D printers and computers through any power interruptions (last two were cars impacting telephone poles). The AC500 NEMA 14-50 receptacle has me intrigued as this port has many applications. However, it only puts out 120V and is limited to 42A by the AC500 electronics (which is 12A more and any of the other outlets on the front panel support). The TT-30 is 120V @ 30A. My NEMA 14-50 circuit tester tells me the AC500 outlet is providing L2 (not L1) at 120V. So I'll have to buy a second AC500 if I need 240V with L1 added to L2 at 42A.Heed BlueTTI's comment about needing (2) P090D to P150D cables for (2) B300K batteries if you want to achieve 5KW performance. I had planned to buy a second P090D to P150D cable, but thought, wait, let's see what happens if I use the provided P090D to P150D cable and the B300K P090D to P090D cable to tie the second pack formerly used on the AC200L to the new B300K delivered with the AC500. At 4.4KW, I discovered, No, you really do need to be powering both P150D AC500 input ports if you want 5KW, or it won't work right. The second battery pack was alarming. So you do need that second P090D to P150D cable for the second B300K pack on the second AC500 P150D battery port. I'm sure this has to do with how much current each P150D port on the AC500 has to handle to go from 3KW to 5KW of power. But now I have two P090D cables which came with the B300K batteries, which aren't being used. This does let me go back to the AC200L if I need the battery/batteries there. The only "con:" on the AC500 is the wimpy washed out color touch-screen. The AC200L has a nice large high contrast display which allows me to see power usage from halfway across the room. The AC500 display by comparison is washed out color and so small that I have to find my reading glasses and get down on my knees to read it. I get around this by using the WiFi/Bluetooth interface to the BlueTTI app on my phone to see what's going on. This works, but isn't nearly as convenient as looking across the room without glasses or phone app like I can with the AC200L. Maybe someday, but this display and the second P090D to P150D cable requirements are why I gave this unit 4-stars instead of 5.What makes BlueTTI special is the 10-year battery life on their products. Some of the newer products claim 15-year. It is because of this that I replaced another well known UPS vendor's 2-year battery life equipment with more expensive BlueTTI units. This results in lower risk of failure, and in fewer things demanding my attention at any given time. The units are heavy, probably because of batteries, so you do need to be a good-sized strong person in modestly good shape to haul them around without a hand truck.

3/28/25 UpdateRevising my original review from 3 to 4 stars for BLUETTI customer service. Not 5 stars, because product documentation, and app features (especially figuring out how to set up Peak and Off-Peak charging), could be better and easier to use.BLUETTI Customer Service was responsive, offering to look into my original concern that the product had the wrong power cord. I declined, because I believe the issue is now resolved. Here is my email response, in case it might be helpful for the awareness of new buyers, with respect to how the AC500/B300K system works...For some reason, I thought the AC500 had a battery inside (though of lesser capacity than the B300K); that must have been another BLUETTI product, and I got confused. The B300K is labeled as an “expansion battery,” which implies that it is not needed for basic operation, thus adding to my confusion.Because I thought the AC500 had an internal battery, I thought it should be able to turn on without connecting to the B300K (which hadn’t arrived yet, since the components of this kit are shipped separately). The 15A or 50A power cord plugs in to the same spot on the AC500, and plugging the 15A cord (which I had received, after all) into the wall outlet didn’t allow me to power on the AC500. Also, the included paper manual does not state that the AC500 must be connected to a B300K in order to be turned on. Therefore, I assumed it was the wrong cord. That is not the case. What I learned...The AC500 and B300K MUST be connected to each other in order for the AC500 to power on.Peak and Off-Peak charging can be found in Settings > Working Mode, and change it to Time Control UPS (or Customized UPS); then, you'll have access to Time Settings to set the Peak and Off-Peak hours.~Original review of 3/27/25So, the issue with the AC500/B300K not turning on appears to have been that it will not turn on, even when plugged in to a wall outlet, unless the B300K unit is connected. This was not mentioned in the AC500 manual before the point of pressing the power button for a second to turn it on.

I had a slight issue when I went to purchase this item. I put it in my cart to purchase but a had a couple compatibility questions. Because I currently own a Bluetti system. I called and got my questions answered but when I went to my cart the price had gone up substantially. I reached out directly to Bluetti and they were very helpful to solve my cost issues.I love the ease of plug and play with this system. I currently have it installed in a van conversion. It works great. I am totally electric in my rig. I have the AC300 currently. Thanks Bluetti for your quick response to my issue.

I'll save you the details - just that I needed to return this item. Bluetti reached out to me and made the whole return process easy and convenient that I have to say I am really impressed. It's a great product, but to even back up your stuff AFTER the sale, that says a lot about this company. Well Done Bluetti. I will be buying from you again. :-)
