i had been trying to mow a large amount of acreage that has several stumps hiding in taller brush that occasionally would catch the brush hog and snap a sheer pin. These are comparable replacements compared to the sheer bolts i get from tractor supply but saved me a long trip to town when i had other matters to attend.

The dimensions on the given in the picture of the shear bolt are misleading. Refer to the attached picture for the actual dimensions. The shear bolt is a course thread, 13 threads per inch. The pitch diameter is 0.42 inches. It is close to being a UNC series bolt. This actually doesn't matter much since the locknuts do come with the bolts and they do work on this shear bolt.I have provided the actual outside diameter of the threads as bolts are not always the same size. Before purchasing, I suggest measuring the inside diameter of where the bolt has to pass through to ensure this bolt will work in your application.I have no way of measuring the shear strength of the bolt. There are no markings on the head of the bolt so I have to assume that it actually is a Grade 2 bolt.
