I purchased a second pair of Blundstone BL490's because of how well the initial pair fit and the lasting wear I received. Granted they take time to breakin, but fit like a glove thereafter. The second pair I purchased lasted about a month before the out rubber like sole material begain to come apart. Cracking and chunks of the rubber sole chip apart from the foam underneath. In a short period of time the boot sole was in shambles. These boots are not cheap and to only get a months use was extremely upsetting when compared to the inital pair that lasted for well over a year of daily wearing. In manufacturing of the boot did the sole materials change to cheaper product or did I just get a lemon pair? I don't know, but at over $200 I don't want to role the dice buying another pair. Just not worth the risk. I thought I had found a boot I would forever continue to purchase.

These last me a good 8 months at a time. Doesnt sound like a lot, but I do HVAC 12 hours a day 6 days a week in Arizona heat with constant kneeling or walking on scolding hot shingles. Could probably squeeze another month or two out of them easily, but why bother running the rubber completely bare. The leather itself is in great shape, the bump toe really keeps the leather by your toes from wearing out too fast if you spend alot of time kneeling or sitting down in tight spaces. Definitely lasted me longer than my Ariats or Redwings did.

I wear these boots just about every day now. I get compliments on the look even though to me they are more of a work boot! Great in the snow, mud, rain, what have you. Easy to take on and off. They took a couple of days to break in but it wasn't a bad process.My feet are wide, especially in the toe I bought a women's 10.5 which is what I normally wear, and they fit great.Highly recommend using the NikWax that comes with the boots.

Nice boot. Fits well in the back and roomy in the front. Does not pinch my toes but is not sloppy either. Been wearing them for 2 weeks and have no complaints.

I bought these Blundstone Boots through Amazon in November of 2016. I thought they were just great but just a scant 4 and a half years later they are trash. The uppers are still in beautiful condition but the soles, on BOTH boots, while still having good tread on them are cracked the full width right below the ball of my foot. And they are cracked real deep into the inside lining so that your feet will get wet if you walk through a small puddle. I really am disappointed as I've had Blundstone's in the past that would last 10 to 15 years easily. Blundstone cheaped out on the sole and this is the result. Plus they weren't used hard other than to walk my dogs and to the store and back. Again, really disappointed Blundstone!

Update: 8 years. That's what I got out of them. I wore them a lot. They remained very comfortable and very waterproof until suddenly they weren't. And I do mean suddenly. In the morning it was, "huh, is my right sock a little damp?" And by dinner the entire sole had just disintegrated from the middle out on both boots! They were too far gone for me to even try to pack them up to bring them home for resoling. But 8 years is more than I've gotten out of other boots, with the way I wear them, and prorated over that time period the price still isn't bad.These boots...wow! They really do live up to the hype. I trashed my last pair of cheap boots at a music festival, and needed a good pair of boots quickly, because I'm working First Aid at other (camping) festivals for the rest of the month. Blundstones were recommended to me, and I was delighted to find these at a steep discount. I wore them all day the first day - they were a little worrisome in fit right out of the box, but as the leather warmed up, they began to mold to my feet, and by the end of the day, I knew they were going to be just fine. I used the enclosed sample of Nikwax that night, and just in time, because the next day it rained, all, day. Deep soaking rain on already soaked ground, so there were deep puddles everywhere. My socks were spotless, dry and warm after wearing the Blundstones all day on day two. Today (day three or four, I'm starting to lose track) they're the most comfortable set of footwear of any type that I've ever owned. Blundstone has a new convert. I'd gladly pay twice as much for a boot with such a great fit and so waterproof and durable.

I first saw these boots being worn by one of the main characters on Criminal Minds. I liked their style so I did some research on this boot. The reviews were top notch. These are my first pair of slip on boots that are ankle height. They arrived yesterday and I was not disappointed. I love the look and they fit as expected. I used the Nikwax that was included in the box and gave the leather a nice coat of wax. They look sharp and are comfortable. They should now be ready for the rain.

I'm a Chef, I use these in the kitchen. Good slip resistance, comfortable, with the molded rubber sole that repels water and gunk. Slip on/ slip off is a plus and they look cool.They came with a small pack of leather treatment/ waterproofer (NikWax) that seems pretty good. After several months the leather still looks new and the sole is not worn at all. I expect them to last for a long time.Besides all of that, nothing beats the look of Bludnstones with white socks and shorts. So uncool, that it's totally cool.

These boots are a good mix of casual dress boots and work boots. they look good on days in the office, but also fit in on a jobsite. they fit well and are comfortable. the only complaint that I have had is that they have a squeak when I walk on the tile floor of my office, but that is the only surface that causes them to squeak. Also be sure to look at the sizing closely, the sizes are Australian so you need to use the conversion to American size that you need, this is rather simple and works well, but it is not the same as just ordering your size. the color is a very dark brown almost black, not an issue but they are darker than they appear in the picture.
