Your cart is empty.The B&M 6L80 locking transmission dipstick was designed to allow for a quick and easy check of the automatic transmission fluid level and fluid quality by the vehicle owner/operator without having to go to the dealership. Constructed of billet stainless steel fittings, steel braided hose and black mil-spec anodized aluminum 6061-T6 cap and bracket, this rugged unit allows for both cold and warm fluid level checks and is meant to be left in the vehicle and locked into place. Additional features include an engraved B&M logo locking knurled handle cap and fluid level stamped indicator end.

Fit my g8 well. Make sure to tighten both ends or it’ll leak if you add fluid

Mine came folded in half, and zip-tied to make sure it was crimped hard in the middle. The stick simply will not go back in past the half-way point. Very disappointing. Got to use it as a temporary fill tube and had to put the factory plug back in.

Way overpriced for what it is. Material quality is good, finish is good. solid and heavy. Now the bad- solid part at the end of the stick (that meters fluid level) is too long. you can literally not shove it down unless the tube is pretty much straight. So I had to cut mine. Stock the solid steel part at the end of the braided line is like 3" long.- the stick is not locking. it is supposed to be held into the transmission by gravity... works on except that when you bend it, it loved to kink itself in the filler hole, putting uneven strain on the orings. it does have 3 of them but not sure how long they will last. the bottom most oring actually sits inside the transmission and acts as a weak detent against the assembly popping out. so essentially you have 2 orings that keep dirt out, and fluid from splashing out. keep in mind, fluid will not be above the level of the orifice so its mostly outside contamination that's in question here.its stainless steel braided and will cut anything in its path over time with vibration. there is a warning on the box about that. I wrapped mine in thermal sleeve also as a means to keep debris from going near the flimsy insertion point.

Dropped into camaro ss don't need to pull out trans lol I had to replace the torque conveter seal. But hey you get a better pic of where it goes.

I just installed this dipstick I have a 09 G8 W/6L80 auto. If you have a car without a dipstick this one works great. Very easy to install I did it yesterday when I was installing the B&M deep pan for the same car. The install was as smooooth as Butter. I've used B&M products before and always top notch 1st class all the way. This dipstick and deep pan were listed for the Camaro SS but they both fit the G8 like a glove. As long as you have the 6L80 trans.
