I installed this on my 99’ OBS suburban and it definitely makes shifting a lot quicker or firmer. I haven’t not had the chance to pull my 22ft camper trailer yet to feel the shift change it is supposed to provide but I honestly feel it will help the trans last a lot longer along with regular maintenance of course. My review is based on the kit install with a completely new GM 4L60e with only 3,xxx miles on it so far. Great product without having to install a shift kit by dropping the trans. Also, I do drive around town and on the highways on level 1 and feels a lot better than stock but not as jarring as a full shift kit like I have in my 1989 4L80e rebuilt.. hope this review helps! Will come back to update my review in a few months as I very recently installed this product.

Easy to install and I can't believe the result , the shifts are snappy and through all gears solved my sluggish shift in 3rd and 4th gear, best product ever thanks !

First off I never leave reviews even though I ought to sometimes. I installed this in a 94 Silverado with a 350. 94 Silverados came from the factory with a Corvette servo so it already shifted harder and better than most other years. With the shift plus added to that it woke up the transmission to the point where it drives like a completely different truck. With a good exhaust system and this people will think you have spent thousands of dollars on your drivetrain just hearing go through the gears driving normally. I've had built transmissions in trucks where it would spin hitting second and bark tires hitting third leaving it in drive. This thing is a bargain for what your getting. I read a review that said he noticed no difference. That would be impossible in my opinion. He must've had a bad connection or he got a lemon. It is sorta hard to get your hand in there to unplug harness from the computer because it's the one behind glove box and all the way to the right. It still wasn't that big of a deal though. If you don't have one get one if you're wanting to sure enough make it bang through the gears add a Corvette servo because I believe you can install those on any GM product this will work with. By the way my truck has got 151000 miles on it. It was 17 years old with 34000 miles when I inherited it. My only regret is not installing this thing sooner because it will definitely make the transmission last much longer since it won't be slipping the clutches so much

This was shown as a fit for a 2008 GM 4l60E by Amazon. The product is fine but will not work on GM products after 1998 per B&M product support.

I installed the shift plus on my 1993 chevy blazer 5.7 v8. It is so easy to install, just about any one can install it. After the install I went out for a test drive, and I tried it on the first stage and then the second stage, and on the factory setting stage. It does every thing that they claim, the shifts were firmer and better, especialy from second to third, it use to hesitate when s***ing into third, now it goes in faster. I'm tickled to death with this product, You get the same performance as a shift kit, which has to be installed at a transmission shop, and will cost you very dearly.

Setting 1 makes the transmission shift like it should, and stay in the correct gear appropriately. Setting 0 is available for stock shifts, which are too frequent and too soft in my opinion. Setting 2 is too harsh for everyday driving. It may be useful for pulling stumps or granading the transmission, which is not my goal. The kit is easy to install. It just taps into two wires: one of them appears to be a power wire. It seems to work on settings 1 & 2 by adding a controlled short-circuit of power to the transmission's electronic input for line pressure. I installed it on my 1996 Chevy Astro AWD, which was not listed as one of the applicable vehicles, by using instructions for that year of S10. The wire colors for my van were the same as those described in the instructions for an S10 of the samne year.

I installed the B&M Shift Improver a little over a week ago on my 1994 Chevy K1500 pickup. My transmission is the 4L60E. Installing the unit was relatively easy. I removed the inside of the glove box to get to the trucks computer, popped a couple of clips holding it down and spliced into the 2 wires that were indicated on the easy to follow instructions. I soldered that connection and I didn't use the plastic pinch clips that came with the kit. The kit also came with 2 zip ties that made running the wires under the dash a breeze. The whole procedure, at a leisurely pace, took about an hour. The shift from 1st to 2nd is a solid, firm shift now in both "heavy duty" and "street/strip" positions but the shift from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th were not as dramatic. Although there is a good improvement in the tranny's ability to hold or grip throughout the entire range.I paid a little over $30 and I'm very happy with the Shift Improver for the money spent but I'd like a firmer shift from 2-3 and 3-4 so I'm going to add a Corvette servo to help that. I could have just used the aftermarket servo and gotten what I wanted except for the ability to control the shift process from the cab by just pushing a button. Once I install the servo I will lose that convenience and I don't know how it will work with the B&M Shift Improver. I guess I will find out as soon as the new servo arrives.Overall, for $30 and an hour's easy labor, I give the B&M Shift Improver 2 thumbs up and 4 out of 5 stars.
