These old school Bamboo poles are getting harder to find locally and the prices are getting out of control. The pole I bought is well made, fair price and great for my grandson and myself when we go snapper fishing here in the Northeast. Other fisherman are amazed at how well these poles work for small fish without a rod and reel. Simple old school that kids can fish with ease and have fun

The quality of the connectors is low. I'd never use this to fish but it makes a fine prop.

I bought these for my 4 and 6 year old. They have had trouble with the rod and reel but these work great. The hooks that come with it are small, and I ended up shorting the poles by removing the thickest section. It made it easier for my boys to use. The bobber/float works great and you can set it up to not move or to free float depending on what you are looking for it to do. Great product.

I believe that fishing should start with sunfish and bluegills. The best way to catch them is with a bamboo pole, a cork, small hooks, and worms. In the hands of a five year old, the day starts with a lot of "Yah. Yah. I don't want to fish. I want to watch TV at home. Why do we have to do this?" and ends with "Wow!" And these poles are long, and perfectly made for the task. This is the real deal: economical and perfectly made for the task. Now for a catfish . . .

The B'n'M Rigged Bamboo Three Piece Pole (12-Feet, Brown) must have been different from the others reviewed. We got two of them. One would not fit together, the bottom piece and the end piece. It would only go part way. When I tried to pull it apart, the bottom joint of the middle piece stuck to the top of the bottom piece, and came free from the end of the middle rod. So, we thought to just use the middle and the top piece, but I brushed the top of the upper pole and it broke off.The second pole also had problems connecting the middle to the bottom, but the top piece did not break off, and it may be able to hold some line, but the pole tip is very thin. As the person I was with said, looking at the narrow end, "it's a joke."

Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it appears to be a well-made pole. I plan to use it for pan fishing in hard-to-reach reedy and marshy areas. It will replace the old-fashioned cane poles I used as a kid, and which seem to be unavailable in the rural Ozarks. Because it comes in three pieces, though, it will be much more convenient to carry to the fishin' hole.

Bought these and put one together. They are not a "finished" product, but more of a cane pole experience. That is, don't expect fit and finish, and don't jam the pieces together and then complain it is falling apart.. However, you can catch big fish with light line by using the long and tapered action of these poles. My daughter and I had a blast catching mangrove snappers and catfish off our dock last night. The bobbers, hook and the weighted line are perfect for panfishing, and you can catch surprising large fish if you don't jerk it hard and break the line. Pro-tip...for little kids, remove the bottom piece and wrap the line around the top until the length of line is managable for them. These are a Good value and will provide memories that last forever for little kids.
