  • The best air filter depends on size or dimensions, filtration rating (MERV, MPR, FPR), and quality your AC unit requires. Our filters capture up to 98% of microscopic airborne particles (3-10 um) with industry leading low pressure drop.

  • Confirm the size of your air filter. Remove plastic wrapping on your new filter and locate the arrows to indicate the direction of air flow. Open your air vent cover, insert the new filter with the arrows facing correctly, then shut air vent cover.

  • MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values which reports a filter's ability to capture microscopic particles ranging from 0.3 and 10 microns (µm). The higher the MERV level, the more efficient it is at filtering microscopic particles.

  • The nominal size is a rounded number to the nearest whole or half inch, (ex: 20 x 20 x 1). The Actual Size is the exact measurement that shows the filter's actual dimensions (ex: 19.75 x 19.75 x .75). All Air Filters display both sizes.

  • This is dependent on each customers unique air filter requirements. Our selection includes pack sizes that range from 1 to 12 filters. Each filter last up to 3 months depending on various aerosol conditions such as dust, smoke, and pets.

As a home inspector, I’ve learned to look at HVAC systems from both a technical and practical perspective. My job often puts me face-to-face with all the things homeowners don't always think about—filter ratings being one of them. So when I picked up the BNX TruFilter 20x30x1 MERV 12 Odor Defense filters, I did so knowing exactly what I was getting into. And overall, these filters deliver where it counts—just make sure you're the right kind of homeowner to use them.First off, the build quality here is excellent. These are sturdy, well-pleated filters that fit perfectly into my system without any warping or buckling. They feel solid—not flimsy like some of the bargain brands you find at the hardware store. And the odor defense feature actually does something. I’ve got teenagers, two dogs, and a constantly rotating group of high school musicians in and out of the house, so I appreciate anything that can cut down on pet smells, smoke from backyard fire pits, or the occasional mysterious teenage odor. Within a day or two of swapping these filters in, the air smelled noticeably fresher, and the persistent, low-level mustiness that sometimes creeps into our hallway completely disappeared.I also really appreciate the 90-day lifespan. Between marching band events, prop-building sessions, and a home schedule that always seems a little too full, I’m not looking to change filters once a month. Being able to set a quarterly reminder and not worry in the meantime is a big plus. And with so many filters in the box, I’m set for a long time. That’s one less thing to remember on my ever-growing list of household maintenance. Now here’s where the caveat comes in—and it’s not a knock on this product specifically, but a caution about using high MERV filters in general. This is a MERV 12 filter, which is excellent for capturing small particles like smoke, mold, and bacteria. If someone in your home has allergies, respiratory issues, or you're living in an area prone to wildfires or pollution, it’s a fantastic option. But if you’re using it just because it sounds more protective, you might be unintentionally shortening the life of your HVAC system. Most people don’t realize that higher MERV ratings mean more restriction on airflow. Your blower has to work harder to pull air through, and over time that increased workload can reduce system efficiency or even contribute to premature failure. From a home inspector’s point of view, if your health doesn’t demand this level of filtration, you may be doing more harm than good. A lower-rated filter might serve your system—and your energy bill—better.Still, if MERV 12 is what you need, I can confidently say the BNX TruFilter is one of the best you’ll find. It performs well, lasts long, and delivers on its promise. Just be sure you’re matching the filter to your needs—not just your instincts.

so far so good with this filter. I also have an air filter machine. I have noticed since adding these filters to my HVAC the filter machine stays green more often now. To me that indicates these filters are working

I recently switched to the BNX TruFilter MERV 13 air filters for my HVAC system, and the improvement in air quality has been remarkable. These filters are proudly made in the USA, which adds to my confidence in their quality.Pros:• High Filtration Efficiency: The MERV 13 rating means these filters capture up to 93% of airborne particles, including dust, pollen, pet dander, and even bacteria. Since installing them, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in dust accumulation and allergens in my home.• Improved Airflow: Despite their high filtration capabilities, these filters maintain excellent airflow. My HVAC system runs smoothly without any noticeable strain, which is a testament to their low-pressure drop design.• Sturdy Construction: The filters are well-built with a single-sided frame made from recycled cardboard, making them both durable and environmentally friendly.• Easy Installation: They fit perfectly into my system, and installation was a breeze. The 4-pack option is convenient and offers great value for money.Cons:• Size Variations: Some users have reported that the filters can be slightly thinner than expected, which might lead to a looser fit in certain systems.
