I replaced the transom in my Jon boat. Instead of rivets I used stainless nuts and bolts with marine grade silicone. It Leaked!!! I removed the bolts, cleaned off the silicone and reinstalled them with Life Caulk. Problem solved. NO LEAKS!!! This stuff is great

I've been using Boat Life Life caulk for years with great results.I prefer it over other brands. Generally it is better priced that some other brands and my results have been consistent over the years.I always keep a spare tube on the boat at all times.

Disappointed that this product can be had for 8-10 dollars less at West Marine which is a store known for having exorbitant prices. That aside, its a good product, seals great, bonds well and remains flexible after curing. Can be painted.

Tried to stop an under water leak in a hot tub-held for a couple weeks but finally let go. Think 104 degrees finally got to it.

Everyone with a boat will have to decide what sealant is best for them, their skill level, and application. I use Boat Life for deck hardware more than 3M, Sika or West Marine's store brand. It works well for bedding hardware on a 40 year old Bristol. Do your homework before using any product on a boat - especially if the use will be submerged. This is a cost effective product that works very well. Wish this and other companies would sell smaller, one use amounts for very small jobs.
