I read a review that said the wires were not correct. Bough it anyway. The wires matched perfectly and it worked as it should.

I have an old 1980's Nissan 3.5hp outboard I'm trying to get running again. I saw this after market CDI unit for the 3.5. So I ordered one. Took a while to arrive because it came out of Singapore. When it arrived, I noticed the power wire ( white wire ) had a female plug on it. It should have been a male plug to fit the connector from the magneto. No wiring diagram came with it. I wrote the company but there was no reply.I may have fried the unit while I was tinkering with it. There was no spark. The ignition coil they sell for the 3.5hp didn't work either. I found a wiring diagram for a 1990s 3.5. I followed the diagram - The Nissan uses 3 wires, this one had 4. I made an adapter with 2 male connectors to bridge the unit and the magneto connector. Still, no spark. Again, I may have fried it. Just know this going in, if you order one.
