Installed on boat trailer, old rectangular lights sit under angle iron to protect them. These lights are slightly larger and would not fit where the old ones were. I had to drill new holes lower to mount these. The install kit was nice with the included shrink connectors. hopefully they last a few years.

Installing a full set of trailer lights properly takes a little longer than you would think. This kit made it easy though. I do wish it would have had a few more the metal clips used to secure the wire to the trailer frame as well as the solder seal connectors. I ended up grabbing a few of both for under $10. The solder seal connectors do require a heat gun if you're going to use them. The lights look and work great.

Love these lights. They're very bright when on turn or brake - seems like more than the usual number of LEDS lit. And for just parking mode, the illuminated horizontal line in the middle makes a clear distinction from the brake/turn mode, so it's easy for drivers behind to recognize the distinct differencs, just what you want in taillights.In all, this is way better than other taillights which just distinguish between brake/turn and parking by a mere difference in brightness.

Trailer lights have a very tough life. They get banged about and damaged. I am already on my second set. It's a mixture of being parked and ignored for long periods of time and also that they are asked to do tough jobs. The lights on my small kit trailer have always been feeble even when they work, which is not all the time because of the terrible connection system.So it's LED's to the rescue one more time. I have installed a lots of different types of LEDs recently and I am starting to think that they are one of the biggest contributions to the improvement of daily life for a long time. Most society improvements are small and incremental but LED's are so bright and adaptable that they are making big changes.In this case, a nice change towards decent lighting at the back of my trailer. No more puny glow.This kit is very complete with plenty of physical and electrical accessories to make installation go smoothly. All the parts are well made and look tough enough for trailer survival.There is just one component that I will not use, and that is the license plate holder, which is made of molded plastic. On my trailer the poor license plate gets banged and mangled more than any other part and the galvanized steel bracket on my present rig will stay. I don't think this plastic one would last very long. I'll take off one star for the plastic bracket but everything else is great and I am very pleased with it.
