I was a little apprehensive when I purchased this. The price seemed like it was too low to be sturdy but i figures i could reinforce it if I have too. Thankfully, I didn't need to. This thing is made of heavy thick steel. It is extremely stable.Mine did not come with any grip tape though. For me this is fine for you it may be a problem. I say its fine for me because i was going to clean the grip tape off and replace it with a glow in the dark grip tape. It may be a problem for you if you were expecting to buy something ready to use.Overall I am happy but your mileage may vary.

Easy to put together and install on trailer. This is the 3rd one I've purchased. We have a 2 step on the bass boat and a 3 step on the Key West. My wife and I both love it!!!! This 3rd one is for a friend who has a bass boat as well. Great product at a fair price!!! Seems very sturdy. I did put some of the skid tape on each step for extra safety.
