This does not fit in my Singer 7442. It looks like it fits and it does well if I'm super gentle, but it is just a hair too small and if I run the machine for more than a simple straight stitch for 2 inches of hem, it twists and I have to take the whole thing apart. I ended up buying one from my repairman and the machine runs like a dream.
