Nice little pour over pot. It’s a nice looking and the glass carafe is solidly made.I made one change: I felt that the filter cone was over-extracting the coffee just a little, making it slightly too bitter. But with a drill I cored out the four openings slightly - now the coffee is perfect.

This is mostly made of plastic. The only glass part is the bottom carafe. The "stainless steel" dripper is actually about 1/2 plastic and 1/2 metal so isn't all metal either. The rest of it is plastic including the lid and the dripper holder. The item description is inaccurate and implies its mostly glass. It isn't. I don't recommend this at all. Its cheaply made and possibly toxic due to all the plastic. I am returning it.

Tried to replace my old highly rated Bonavita but they are not made like they used to be. Coffee was terrible after 4 years of great coffee with my old one so returned it. It did not get hot enough. Fussed with French Press, two different types of pot. Could not get to that perfect, sweet taste. Decided to try a simple pourover because that was what the Bonavita was. Changed the grind size to work, boiled the water and made 20 o unces of perfect coffee the first time. Highly recommend pour over. Just make sure the basket is large enough to do the pour carefully.

The original 500 ml carafe for my Kalita 155 dripper broke (it lasted for several years) so I ordered this product for really the carafe. I really don't want to use the plastic dripper it came with since I am happy with the Kalita - although it is nice to have it as a back-up. So the focus of this review is really more about the carafe. I've had the 20 oz carafe for over a month now and it has worked really well. It washes easily (the neck of the carafe is large enough to allow me to wash inside with a sponge) and it holds the dripper without any sliding or tipping over. The only minus I see is the lack of volume measurements imprinted on the side of the carafe. It would be more helpful to see 12 oz, 16 oz, 20 oz marked off on it so you know how much hot water to pour into the dripper. Otherwise, I highly recommend the carafe part of this item!

after using a Cuisinart 4-cup coffee maker for more than ten years and having replaced the unit four times, I have finally abandoned drip coffee makers. I heat 46 ounces of water to boiling. Twenty ounces go into the mug to warm it while I make the coffee. Six ounces to wet the filter and slightly warm the carafe (which is then poured out). Add 4 (or 5) tablespoons of coffee and pour over remaining 20 ounces of water from a YOLIFE Small Pour Over Coffee Gooseneck Kettle. By the time the pour over is done, the coffee mug has been warmed to perfection, and I'm enjoying the best coffee I've had in a very long time. No more bitter taste! Win-win!

Makes great coffee but pot is very fragile. First bump in the sink and it was broken.

The Bodium coffee carafe and filter brew coffee well but after 10 months of daily use it has developed numerous cracks through the wall thickness.I contacted Bodium customer service and they replaced the carafe which worked fine for about a year when it started developing multiple cracks again. This morning as I was starting to add coffee to the filter cone it cracked completely in half, Luckily before I had poured boiling water into to it. The first two photos I posted when my first Bodium filter cone started developing cracks and the third photo I took this morning when the replacement cone from Bodium split in two after developing numerous cracks .After two failures of the Bodum Melior pour over carafe system, I will look at another brand of coffee brewing carafe

I’ve used these before but not had a carafe and based part on reviews and the brand I bought it. The only problem is that it doesn’t make clear that only the carafe is glass, the rest is plastic. At the very least I thought the lid would be glass. The price point is great and it is a beautiful carafe and the reusable filter makes great coffee so I’ll probably keep it but these are details that should be made clear.

After my first pour-over carafe cracked when I hit it with the porcelain dripper that had come with it, I ordered this set as a replacement. From the start, I was impressed with the heft of the carafe compared to the thin carafe that came with my first purchase (my old one was made in China, but I see this one comes from Portugal, and the quality shows). I like the lightweight plastic dripper and generous stainless steel filter. I prefer to use Melitta coffee filters to filter the grounds, but take my advice and line the reusable filter with your paper filter for a much faster drip. The only shortcoming with the Bodum Melior Pour Over Coffee Maker is the carafe does not have graduations marked on the side, so either use a measuring cup to brew your preferred quantity of water, or simply do what I did and mark your fill line on your carafe with a permanent marker! Easy to use and excellent performance makes this a smart choice for a great cup of coffee!
