The box read JK 713,5 but the item was completely different than what's picture. The bends were 45 degree angles rather than the 90 degree bend show in the picture. Looked as if someone had swiped them with REDROCK's Taillight version. I've sent back for an exact exchange to see if the pictures are actually wrong or if I've been swindled. I'll update this review when I get the new set.

I live in Wisconsin so we have snowy winters which means a lot of road salt gets kicked up on your vehicle. These tailight guards were rusty within 8 months. They are good for protection and in my opinion look great but they will have to be refinished/repainted at some point in time. I would be willing to pay a bit more for them if they could get the finish right.

Constructed to do exactly what I wanted. Protect those bulk box style tail lights. This is a simple to install product with a great finish and adds a very nice look to the Wrangler. Highly Recommend. No issues with this product.

I love the look of these tail light guards, but the problem comes in that the guards are directly over the screw holes leaving it almost impossible to screw on or off without stripping the screws. I was very disappointed with this design as once I have to replace a tail light bulb, I will probably completely strip out the screws. Go with a different model like the Rugged Ridge one.

This item looks good after you figure out how to install it. I read the reviews about difficult installations, but thought it couldn't be "that bad". But it as, If you have a 90 degree phillips head ratchet screw driver it will be ok. I realize they configured the mounting brackets to try to hide the screws but they could have made them a little more user friendly. They look good after you get them on but good luck getting them back off. You nearly strip the teeth on the screws installing them.

I picked this one partly because it does install with screws rather than double-stick tape like some of the alternatives. It looks good, and will do the job. However, I only give it 4 stars because it was very difficult to install without stripping the screws due to the lack of distance between the screwhead and the bars. A slight re-design could make this much easier to install, making it easier to replace lightbulbs when necessary.

I was hesitant to buy these because of the subpar reviews about the installation but I pulled the trigger because I wanted a beefy, strong tail light guard that will add tough looks and protection. First off, I don't understand all the qualms about installing these. It was simple and took me 3 minutes a side. All you have to do is have the right screw driver. I could see how the screws can strip when putting them, but after some trial and error I found the installation to be a piece of cake. You'll need a sturdy philips screw driver and make sure to follow the direction. Use two short and 2 long screw that are provided on the holes and walla! There are no awkward angles that caused me trouble. The holes are straight and the guards did not hinder the process of screwing through them. These guards are much better than the Rugged Ridge covers and will definitely add style and protection to the back end of your jeep. I would recommend these and buy them again if I had to. Excellent product!

Great, solid product. I read the other reviews where people talked about how hard they are to install. I'm proficient with tools and these were the most difficult to install of anything I've ever done. The design does not allow room for a screwdriver, even a swivel one, to tighten the screws without stripping them. Not sure why their design team didn't catch this after their first test. For this reason, I would never buy them again.
