Nearly completely flat. All the fluff can be pushed to one side and you get half a pillow, if that. Avoid.

This body pillow doesn't deserve the really, really poor reviews it's gotten for being completely limp and unfilled -- I know why those people said what they said, but they didn't wait long enough. When you first open the pillow, it looks like a complete dud. It's completely flat, limp, lumpy, and uneven, and it doesn't fluff up quickly at all. It's necessary to leave it alone for a couple of days before it even starts to act like a pillow. I truly thought it wasn't going to amount to anything worthwhile at all.Even once it did fluff up, though, it's not ideal for me personally. It's heavier than a typical body pillow, which makes it heavier to maneuver around during the night, and since I flip from side to side, that makes it difficult for me because I need to move the pillow from side to side as well.It would be a nice pillow for someone who wants to use it differently than I do, I think -- if you use a body pillow without moving around a lot during the night, especially.

This thing took like, a solid week to puff up to its full size (wild compared to some other vacuum-sealed products that only take a day or two). It's kind of floppy still despite that, and a bit on the heavy side. Definitely pick up a pillowcase for this too, as the material on this is a little weird and you can kind of tug off strands of it??? It's a very pill-prone fabric.

When first taking this body pillow out of its packaging, it was a bit of a puzzle, because it came in a relatively small box. Once opened, the pillow, which is folded over double and rolled like dough, causes you to wonder how it all got inside that little box! Once the whole thing is unfolded, it is QUITE COMPRESSED; VERY FLAT, and thus perplexing as to how comfortable this is going to be. SO, you have to get well past unboxing. As I tried to "figure it out" I laid the pillow out and just left it there for a while and gradually, once past its "lumpy" phase, it puffed up (SOME) but not to the degree that I would have liked. But, the plus side to that is the well-hidden zipper that allows you to open it up, and add more material to your liking. Anyone not aware of the zipper might be disappointed, only to find some redemption in knowing you can stuff it to your hearts content. To me, it's a winner, because the fabric is soft; the entirety of it speaks "comfort." You just might need to make a few minor adjustments to get it filled to your liking.

I didn't know what to think of this at first. It comes flat as a pancake when you open it it don't fluff out much. This first night it was a little thicker but not much. The following night it was just right. The night after that it was even thicker and it's a little hard to keep my leg on it. It will squish down but I've noticed my leg slips off at night. It is very comfortable though, I just wish it was a little bit thinner. I haven't noticed it getting very hot either so that is a plus for me. I get hot anyhow.
