I saw that this was a frequently returned item but I ordered anyway. My deck railing is not flat on the top but is flat on the bottom of the rail. Wasn't sure how this would turn out. It was easy to install and is sturdy for my hummingbird feeder, even with a curved top on my railing. I've had these up for about 5 days and no issues. I've removed the feeder, refilled and all went well.

I got this to hang a bird feeder from my front porch, because my cats really enjoy watching all the birds. It has a c clamp so you can easily install it onto most any porch, fence, etc. Its metal and seems pretty sturdy, and my only complaint is that I'd prefer a different angle. Anyway, its very usefull, and my cats are happy.

I was super excited to get this as we have a few hummingbirds who have been looking for food. I purchased this and a hummingbird feeder earlier today. This product was quite a struggle... if you don't have a wooden deck that's thick, it is VERY challenging to get sturdy and still. So anyone that is trying to install this on their balcony and has thin railings will need to place something under/around it otherwise it will fall. I had to put a few wood chips together and put them under my railing in order for it to stay in place.
