Ordered this to divert the water that empties from the sump pump discharge pipe, when our sump pump was installed, the discharge pipe ends right next to the supports for our farmers porch and my husband has been concerned that the volume and force of the discharge water would erode and eventually compromise the supports...he had considered several solutions but many would require significant trenching or relocating the discharge pipe, after some research I found this product, I am hopeful that this will work for our needs once installed. This Drainage unit appears to be well constructed and will hold up well in the winter weather conditions.

This is a solid option for "beautifying" your gutter output. Works very well when buried into the yard with a four inch pipe extension. The angle allows it to sit semi-flush (works best on a slide decline). The green blends in with the grass and the grill itself is sturdy enough to walk on. It's larger than you might think - it mates with a four inch pvc pipe after-all. I would have give it five stars, but it didn't come with an adapter allowing you to simply slide it into a 4 inch pvc pipe. Probably would cost an additional $1.00 so I think it should be included. Would have made installation easier.

My crawl space recently flooded and I've been scrambling to fix the many issues that I've discovered. One of the things that I needed was a french drain and sump pump into my crawl space, complete with a outside emitter to drain away the water. My back yard is sloped and this angled emitter is perfect for my needs. It attaches to a 4" pipe and has a slotted end opening so that critters can't crawl in as easily. I have the pipe running from a screened catch basin, so I don't have debris flowing out of the exit pipe. Very pleased with the heavy duty construction and angled design of the emitter. Very good piece for my yard, and it meets all my needs.

this is probably a little overkill for my application being that it is so well made and perfectly designed — you won’t find this at your local outlet — I only have a 1-1/2” corrugated drain pipe running into it from a surface drain that is handling the1000 sq.ft. that is the flatter part of my back yard — it will be raining all day tomorrow so I didn’t bother to rinse it off — the removable great and the base are 1/4” thick — the plate is held on with 2 stainless machine threaded countersunk screws (included were 2 extra screws and a mini screwdriver with removable tip — very happy that I ordered this well made drain outlet that fits the contour of the slope that is the 2nd 1/2 of my back yord — it took about 15 minutes to install

I did not know this product existed. I have a 4” drain on a pop up that needed to go because it’s too close to a slope and this is perfect! Much more substantial than I expected. Other reviews called the tube cut on the bias “metal.”But I’m pretty sure it’s just a beefy plastic. The slotted cover is strong, and I doubt any normal life events will compromise it: if someone steps on it, it will be fine. If honey badgers decide to nest in there, they could chew through it.

I love that this exists. I had no idea. With slopes running away from the house, I've had to dig out drains that get covered with grass, or cracked due to running over with the mower, etc.This angled gate will allow me to better grade the slope and eliminate the ugly white pipe awkwardly sticking out of the front yard.

We live in the woods and small animals try to get into everything. We even pulled a chipmunk nest out of the pickup air filter last spring. We've cleaned nests out of the 4" pipe routing water away from the workshop a few times already and needed a better solution. This grate is doing the trick, and looks great as well. It fit right into the pipe without issue and we were able to set the angled grate into the hillside smoothly. The green color looks good and blends into the environment. It feels well built and strong enough to stand up to being knocked around a bit, falling branches, etc. This was the tester and we'll get a few more for the other pipe ends.
