Bought two of these floats and both were used heavily and withstood the use in excellent shape. Easy to use and maneuver around the concrete. Highly recommended.

For me, it works very nicely for the initial hand float of small concrete pours (e. g., sidewalk sections or a/c pads). I had been in the market for a 16" wooden float, but the price was so good that I bought this with the intention of cutting off six to eight inches (I thought 24" might be a bit unwieldy.) However, once it arrived, I decided to give it a try at full length and it worked great. Before using it, I slightly rounded the edges and smoothed the float face with my sander. Then I put on a few coats of tung oil. Following use, it cleans up pretty easily with soap and water, and after it dries I rub in some more tung oil. It does wear quicker than an aluminum or magnesium float, but, for the price, I think you get great value for dollar.
