These bookends are sturdy and decorative but are best used when the books they hold aren't used often.I purchased these for my office shelves but ended up taking them to my house. In my office, I am constantly taking books down to use for a few hours, sometimes several at a time. Without any bracing that goes away from the books, they are prone to tipping over unless there is a very heavy book on the end that is never removed. Overall, it is great quality, just not for what I intended it.

I recently got a book shelf for storing my growing library of art books. The shelves are open ended and I needed bookends to keep the books in place. I am on a budget so I couldn’t spend a lot. These bookends are the perfect solution. Beautifully designed, aesthetically pleasing and a good value for the price. I liked these bookends so much that I already went back and bought a second set.
