I was really excited to finally get a ladder shelf for my living room after weeks of combing through reviews. After seeing such positive feedback on this one, I decided to go ahead and order it.Let’s dive in with some pros and cons.PRO:- Easy to assemble- Beautiful, warm colored stain on the bamboo- Seems pretty sturdyCON:- A lot of imperfections and irregularities with how the stain was applied. Whole sections on the edge of some of the shelves didn’t have the smooth finish and were rough and raw feeling.- Several of the shelves arrived with a dirty, waxy substance on them. It was really gross and I had to do a fair amount of cleaning to get it mostly off but there’s still a bit of a film on some of the shelves and I didn’t want to use any abrasive or strong cleaners and risk damaging the finish.I suppose I’m just dissatisfied a bit with the quality as I was expecting better for this price. Maybe I got a lemon?

Like:- Easy to assemble- Size (fit in a small spot by a window)- Stain color (very few ladder shelves with a light brown)Dislike:- Shelves are not completely level. One is tilting forward ~2 degress.- Holes could have lined up better. Some of the wood connections are a bit off looking, though not obvious unless looking closely. This is also probably the cause of my first issue- Shelf did not sit flat on ground. Not a hard fix with some different height furniture feet.- Stain was missing in some spots that are visual. Just on the ends of shelves and also minor- Cost. There are a number of bamboo ladder shelves for a bit less that are larger or look more sturdy. But none quite fit our needs.

This product is absolutely beautiful.I was able to build it myself with no help that’s how easy it was. Definitely worth the price.

I was really impressed by the quality of the materials, the clear and simple instructions for assembly, as well as how efficiently it was packed; just two small pieces of styrofoam and a little foam wrapper -- and everything showed up in pristine condition, minus all the waste you usually get inside of a box this big. It was actually fun to assemble. I loaded the shelves up with about 100lbs worth of books, plus a few knick-knacks. Not sure if it's designed to hold *this* much weight, but it seems to be holding up just fine. I would be hesitant to put much more weight than that on it, though just because of its small size. Would highly recommend! Super-cute.

This ladder bookcase is well made and easy to assemble.Bamboo Board shelves, these are pretty attractive and they to match the rest of my furniture. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and it looks great!
