Never used the stuff before but I learned. Heated up a new ceramic crucible to coat it with this before I melted down all my panned gold (.317 Troy oz.)(!)(8 years worth…not worth the trouble) I used my Dads Goss acetylene torch and it melted! I sprinkled some borax on the top and it formed a nice “drop” but it has a rough edge on one side so I’m going to re-melt it. I bought a bigger tip (6) for the Goss.
