I'm building a Chevy K10 that has a 1976 frame and 1987 body, so I've had to be mindful of how parts like this steering shaft connect between the two year groups (a lot of small things changed with Chevy trucks in 1980). For this shaft to work, make sure your rag joint bolts are 2.5" wide from center to center. Make sure you're steering column is the Double D style without splines. I had to do some minor grinding on the steering column to make this shaft fit, so dont be suprised if that happens to you. Otherwise it bolted right in place. I did paint it first as someone else had mentioned. Much better set up over the old bell style shafts. I recommend it.

Super easy install. Much better quality than the OEM. I think the one without the rag joint would have worked as well. I just learned that some people use one out of a jeep to delete the rag joint.

It looks very well built, but is too big for the rag joint. The bolts on the rag joint are 2" on center, and the flange on this shaft are 2.5" on center. It will take some modification to make it fit. Have not found a coupler that will fit the flange...This said that it was a match for my vehicle, so it is disappointing.

Doesn't fit without modification, had to grind down the steering coupling before it would fit.
