I use this to make bags, purses, etc sturdy. I love that it’s fusible on both sides. Perfect for quilting bags! Makes them look and feel thick and sturdy. Will definitely purchase again!

It is a pretty stiff product. Works well with any pattern, holds up well under use.

Whether iron on, or sew-in, this product rocks. I love it for making tote bags and wallets, it provides a lot of springy structure and smoothness, without being stiff or wrinkly. My bags can stand up on their own, yet still rolled up and stuffed into a drawer. It also adds a nice bit of padding for shoulder straps and electronic device covers. I now always use these in place of interfacing on inner purse pockets - it keeps them from sagging or stretching, and provides ideal place for cell phones. Use double layer, or combine with other interfacings if you need a little more structure - this product plays and lays nice with everything I have used with it...ShapeFlex, Peltex, DecoFuse, you name it. I am so happy to have found this product!

This stuff is the best. We make custom products, a four signature is long arming the fabric before we put it all together. It makes it look dynamite. Typically we will do 1 inch for smaller, and 2 inch for bigger products. But this makes it all so much easier we have been doing all kinds of craziness. My girlfriend makes most of he stuff, but I have been making tablet caddies, and this stuff gives a little padding, and makes the quilting patterns come through so much more.I attached photos of my latest caddies I made for my dell venue 11 pro. I added some pouches and usb sleeves, along with a carrying strap. It turned out great.

This is a very good product to use when making handbags. It is easy to sew even with thick wool fabric and lining. The handbag has a lot more structure when I use this product. When I am making laptop or tablet bags sometimes I will double layer and it is still very easy to sew. I also used this to make a decorated picture frame that I wanted to add some cushion to, nice way to use those scraps that can't be used for handbags. There are several tutorials on youtube for different ideas on how to use this product. This product is the same as soft and stable. When buying this by the half yard it is a little less expensive than soft and stable also, plus you get a fusible product. I use both products and most time don't notice any difference besides Bosal being fusible.

Ironed cotton fabric to front and back at the same time. Then cut into 4 inch squares with a rotary blade and ruler. Applied decorative machine stitching all over, and machine blanket stick along the edge. Made a bunch of fun and cheap coasters to match the décor. Would be a nice scout or class project.Update: 11/29/2015 Still love it. However, don't plan on doing a design where there is automatic embroidery, you might end up with a slightly bent needle. However, a fancy stitch that just moves the fabric front and back is fine, but not when it is a high end machine moving the fabric piece side to side. It sews fine in a regular zigzag, straight or a regular decorative stitch, all of these move the needle side-to-side and not the fabric. You probably should use a sharp needle too, as it is a bit dense.

My coworker told me about this after she saw the Crafty Gemini's bag making tutorial using this product - tutorial is on the Missouri Star Quilt Company website. I can't find it locally so was happy to find it on amazon and we each got some. She hasn't tried hers yet, but I enjoyed working with it. It is a thin foam, (similar to the auto headliner fabric that is available in big-box fabric stores). It was easy to use and performs just as well as the tutorial shows - it sews easily as a base for patchwork bags, has good bounce-back and no need for the walking foot. I am still working on the final quilting, so I haven't washed the bag yet. I will try to remember to update this review when I do. It is fusible on both sides- the tutorial shows them pressing it without need for anything to protect the ironing surface. I tried this and for a quick press it worked fine, however, when I pressed a bit more extensively I did notice a bit bit of tackiness transferred to the ironing board cover, but even that wasn't too bad. I was careful not to press quite as long thereafter and didn't have any more trouble with it, but your mileage may vary. The product was creased when it came out of the package so I hung it up in the shower using a clip type clothes hanger (the kind for skirts) and gave it a steam and let it hang, which reduced the creasing considerably. I plan to make a small bag using it right out of the package next time, because I don't think the creases will disrupt the sewing or cause wrinkles. It is washable, so I think washing it after sewing will resolve it just as well as steaming beforehand. I will definitely use this againand use it as a base even if I wasn't using the fusible aspect of the product.

If I could put 6 stars, I would. I have been using Soft an Stable which is a great product, but is a sew-in stabilizer. The Bosal In-R-Form Plus is absolutely superb. It fuses fabric to both sides, making my bags perfect for quilting. I am so impressed, I won't every use anything but this again. It is firm, and yet easy to handle. It sews through beautifully, and fuses very easily. A great product. I bought it in the 18" wide and would like to find it a little wider if possible, for my larger projects. Otherwise it's the perfect fusible foam stabilizer.
