This is interesting...I ordered the resistor and matching Bosch coil. The resistor seems fine and was given a good review. The coil does not appear in my order for review and I suspect I know why. It claims to be Bosch, but is made in Brazil and is obviously of lower quality manufacture. Bosch would have never let it out of a German factory. There are sharp edges on the metal bracket and one terminal post was not threaded for the retaining nut. It seems to work, but only time will tell whether it will hold up. The reason for ordering this combination to to gain hotter sparks and longer point contact life from lower current passing out the higher value resistor. Like I said, time will tell whether this is a genuine Bosch product (like the resistor) that lasts, or is a knock off counterfeit item. In any event, if I have to replace these items again, I will not get them from Amazon. Oh, delivery was late by 2 weeks.

Hard to imagine that this worthless piece of porcelain actually cost more than the ignition coil it goes with, but such is life in the big city. Car will run without it for all of about fifty kilometers before you fry the points, so bite the bullet and just look the other way when your credit card statement comes due.
