It’s unfortunate, but it happens sometimes. It was a scam by Northern tool. They sent a chisel instead of the nail gun. They said they made a mistake and would not honor the ad that they posted.

Fantastic and much lighter than the 25 year old one it replaced. No surprise from a company like Bostitch, comfortable and lasting.

Purchased in 2007 and is still working. Granted I have been using it for only home projects but have used it a fair amount and my son has borrowed it several times. My only complaint is the plastic tips are hard to find.

For the money they make good guns, Guys turn their noses up at Bostitch. If you are looking to get on a crew, it's Max or Hitachi framers, followed by Senco. Buy a good framing gun that can be rebuilt, spend the cash and it will last you a long time. I have the Bostitch finish, Brad and a Porter Pin and they all work just fine. I keep them in their cases and I NEVER let anyone else touch them. I've never had a jam on the finish. The key here is don't let anyone else touch them, use it and put them back in the case.

This is a true bostitch nail gun. With some great new features built in. I really like the quick release if it ever happens to jam. I did when I hit a nail head under where I was nailing. And a light And pencil sharpener.....I will use this very often. I have 8 different Bostitch nail guns, and it's all I will use.

I have no complaints. I used this to secure mdf door casing on the inner and outter edges without issue. It is probably a little overkill for the thin inner edge of casing but it didn't cause any damage. This nailer has great features and doesn't require oiling which is great so you don't need to worry about over/under oiling. I would buy again. My only initial concern was that all packaging says N62FNK-2 but the manual and nailer say N62FNB. After a lot of searching on the Bostitch website I confirmed these are the same. FNB after a certain date were rebranded FNK-2.

I just received mine, however, the outside of the package said N62FNK-2 but the nailer itself says N62FNB. It doesn't have the swivel air connector I've seen advertised for this model. I decided I had received the wrong thing and set up to exchange. I've now seen a Bostich service note saying there are different types of the the N62FNB and the type 1, made after a certain date code, is being marketed as the N62FNK-2. This is confusing because I'd really like to have that swivel air connector rather than the rigid one on the FNB. (Maybe the swivel connector has been discontinued?) This situation should be explained on the product page. I like the build of the nailer but I'd like to get the one I've been looking at!Update: I sent this question to Bostich and this is their reply:"The model # of the tool is N62FN. There have been 2 versions. The B denotes that it is the newer version that has a blower and LED light, along with a few other improvements. The N62FNK-2 means that this same tool comes in a kit (K) with a sequential trigger (-2). This is how the tool is sold. Any new orders from our warehouse of the N62FNK-2 would be with the newer B version. As for the swivel fitting, those are only sold in full case quantities as an accessory, not a part."So, if the swivel fitting is only sold as an accessory, why is it shown installed in all the advertising? It's not that big a deal to me.... I'll take it with a fixed fitting....but Bostich should have explained this. (Bostich was kind enough to send me this swivel fitting for free.)

Amazon price was the lowest I could find and about 30-40% lower than locally available.I've shot about 12,000 nails, mainly 2 1/2" for T&G cedar and cedar beam trims, comb-face window trims, etc. Mainly good and easy to use and load, but the depth adjustment doesn't appear very consistent (possibly partly due to varying hardness of substrates).Have had a few misfires and 3 bad jams (where the striker rod has slid past the nail and got jammed in the same channel). Reasonably easy/quick to sort out and possibly more of a nail quality problem, although only using the bostitch nails. If it finishes one house, it will have paid for itself.

I love this thing. Used it to install hardwood floors where the other tool couldn't reach and it worked like a charm. Drove the nail home every time and never a jam. Also used it to trim out my new windows and again, worked flawlessly. Oil-free design is nice, the tool itself is super light and well balanced, and the accessories like the belt hook, 16" center finder, blower and even the pencil sharpener are all very handy!I would recommend it to anyone. My only caveat: I am an experienced DIYer, not a pro, so although this feels like a very robust tool to me, I can't comment on using it to earn a buck on a daily basis.

I bought a Senco SFNII from my brother in 1975 for $300. It has been like an old friend since. 1000's of nails, miles of trim later, I was trying to use it to nail 4/4 Hardietrim onto my house. It was having a hard time, causing me more heartache than I wanted. I went shopping on Amazon for a replacement, since the repair shop said it would be 2-3 weeks before I would get it back. 2 days later, UPS delivered this new gun to my door. What a fantastic tool!! The nails went right into the Hardietrim, the gun itself is at least half as heavy, and the price is 1/2 what I paid for the gun I replaced, 38 years prior. Amazing!! Great gun at a very fair price. I now have two trim guns, but a new best friend.

I've had this nailer for a couple of months now. I am a handyman & have used it to install 7 interior doors, 2 sets of bifold doors, 4 sets of jamb extensions for windows, as well as some 1x oak cap on top of a half wall. I've shot 2" & 2 1/2" nails, both Bostitch brand & have had no problems/misfires at all. Single fire & bump fire work well. I haven't used the pencil sharpener & have only used the light once, but the bells & whistles are nice additions. The nailer came with a nice plastic case & a box of 2" nails. I've very pleased with my purchase.

The features are great, and stupid little things like a pencil sharpener and a blower that works at the pinpoint actually make a difference in workflow. Even though it is relatively large compared to other brands, it has never gotten in the way of the project. I did have some off-brand nails jam, though they might have been poor quality, as that is all the store had left at the time. Other non-stanley brands might work fine if they are of similar quality. My only real problem with the tool itself is the mark on the rubber foot does not line up at all with the nailpoint, though I have never owned a gun that was accurate by any brand.

I am in the process of remodeling my "old" house. The walls are plaster which have become very brittle and delicate over the years. Hammering to install new molding was out of the question. I needed a gun that was light, powerful, easy to operate, and didn't require oiling so as not to make a mess in my home.I purchased the Bostitch N62FNK-2 nailer (my first nailer) based on the customer reviews and manufacturer information. This gun is absolutely amazing! It delivered everything I wanted in a nailer. I saved money because I didn't damage any of the existing plaster walls, all nails held firmly the first shot...hammering would have been a nightmare!!I was a little apprehensive about using a nail gun since I had never owned one before. It was so easy and so fast!! My only improvement idea would be that the manufacturer offer variety nail packs, so you don't have to buy such large quantities of only one size nail... BUT... Have No fear...Go for it...perhaps the best tool I have ever owned!
