For some projects, short needles are perfect. This was a replacement for an old set and I have always used and trusted Boye brand.

These knitting needles are fool proof. Ive used them for years and recently got new ones after they got lost in my recent move. They are super user friendly and great quality. I recommend checking what size you need for your project before ordering!

I have lots of Boye knitting needles and usually they glide smoothly against each other. This pair "scrapes" against each other. I think it has to do with the coloring used - the cranberry. When I ordered this pair I also ordered 2 more pairs of Boye and they are fine - smooth and not "scratchy". I expect I will get used to this pair after awhile. But I deducted one star because of the "scrapey/scratchy" feel when the needles touch.

Boye makes some of the best needles for general projects. While i prefer rosewood needles, there are just some yarns that aluminum works best with. These are light and easy in the hands.
