I got this as a replacement for a stock GSO finder bracket of very low quality. This bracket is good for the price, it’ll hold and align a spotting scope for star hopping or visual astronomy, but I wouldn’t use it for holding a guide scope or sensitive optics. The dovetail base is rather small for the size of the rings, so it will wiggle a bit when used, as far as I’ve seen this doesn’t impact the alignment, but it will absolutely throw off an auto guider.the adjustment screws are not long enough to handle spotting scopes near 60mm, it advertises that it can, and in fairness it does hold a 60mm scope, however I’ve found that the screws need to be tightened almost completely down in order to make contact with the tube. this makes aligning a 60mm scope very difficult since you only have about 1/8 of a turn before the screw runs out of in-travel. It’s mildly annoying but completely a non-issue if you use a spotting scope larger than 60mm.overall it’s a good bracket for visual work, and it lets me point the big scope where I want to look with very little problems.4/5 stars: solid metal construction, works for what I need, a little difficult to align if your spotting scope is on the smaller side.
