Purchased to replace same model which had gone bad. Arrived on Oct 30, installed and worked less than 30 days before failing again. We live in Arizona, so we just shut the unit off until it got cold, around the new year . At the time, we didn't realize it was the thermostat that was bad, yet again. Our repairman has recommended we NOT purchase the same thermostat, as this is the 2nd time he's been out to repair our unit and it's just the thermostat that is the problem. We're going with a Honeywell this time.Unfortunately, because we waited to call the repairman, we're past the Amazon return period for this part. Checking to see if there is a manufacturer warranty on it. UPDATE: Manufacturer replied that the warranty is thru Amazon. Amazon website directs you to the manufacturer warranty... Bottom line is, I'm out around $85 for the thermostat, plus the cost of the repairman; and now a second service call and the cost of the Honeywell thermostat to replace this defective one. Lesson learned. Only purchase thru an authorized dealer, or you can't get a replacement on warranty.

This thermostat had the necessary connections for my electric heat pump with backup propane furnace. The thermostat was also reasonably priced for what it can do.

You do have to read the installation guide. But after that it is very easy to install and program. This 3H/2C thermostat works well with our two stage heat pump and back up gas furnace. Recommend this to buy. It also has a great display. Watch the warranty. The 5 year warranty is only good if installed by a professional HVAC installer.

Just got this thermostat yesterday. It is to replace the same exact 5220. The one I'm replacing had the option of Emergency Heat. This one I just got doesn't have. Anyone knows why, or how can I make the emergency heat option work?

Braeburn was helpful over the phone with the install. We appreciate the ability to lock the adjustment either completely or up or down by a few degrees.

Works as intended. Very easy to install and the best thermostat I have ever owned, which is why I install it in all the homes I move into.

Take just a minute to read the instructions and it is easy to program, and override when needed. This is better than the previous 5200 because you can program the fan for auto or constant running (for ventilation) in each program cycle.

We had to replace our Braeburn 5020 after putting the batteries in backwards and could no longer program it. This one is a little more complicated in programming, but it works well.
