While the instructions are fairly easy to follow, I found a YouTube video to help. Be sure to read the instructions and then again twice when you are making the runner. In fact having sewn and quilted for 15 years, I hated the video twice before starting and had to refer back to the video for certain steps.

I had seen this on other websites, but the price stopped me from purchasing. Amazon had it at a great price, so I pulled the trigger. It came quickly and included a detailed instruction booklet, as well as the template. I haven't made anything yet, but it looks like there are many beautiful projects that can be made using the template, not just a table runner. After the holiday rush, I plan to work on a project. The template itself is very sturdy, and should work well with a rotary cutter.

The artist says "exactly" 1/4 inch and she MEANS it. If you have difficulty getting perfect joins in your quilting, you will also have a hard time getting this to work exactly right.

I jumped right in and did the reversible table runner out of two different types of christmas fabric (the green and cream is more traditional and the black and white is more modern). i love this pattern for christmas because it would also make a nice fire mantle runner with half of the runner hanging over, or at a reception desk for a business, or a bar/counter in your home - the center seam where everthing twist is able to hang over an edge perfectly.the direction are a little confusing at first but trust in the fact that they are written correctly and cut, label, and follow the tips within the pattern and everything will work out perfectly.once you make one you will fully understand everything about the pattern and can make it in a couple hours.the pattern says you don't need to quilt anything but i decided to do outline quilting along all the edges - you can see it in the photos - just look for the gold stitching along the outer edges.
