The main connector to hook up to water line just uses a light c ring to hold it together. It's easy to over tighten even by hand and the whole assembly comes flying apart. That said, I'd you don't over tighten, it does not leak at all. But if it were to get bumped, it may easily break apart. Not in a way you can't reassemble, but if you aren't there to see it happen, you could have a mess if the water is left on...Outside of this one design flaw, the unit is high quality, does not leak, and the valve action feels really nice opening and closing.

The product seems well made, except for one fatal flaw. Instead of a flange of some sort, the design depends on a thin metal ring, much like a key ring, to hold the cap to the device and thus to the faucet. The ring is MUCH too thin. ANY movement of the device after it is attached to the faucet will overwhelm the ring and the device will fall off. This makes it completely unusable. I’m returning it. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy it. It looks great but….
